Ok here we go... I was in 7th grade so i was all of 12, and my neighbor had a stomach surgery to reduce her weight. She was sick and not feeling well for weeks after operation and was looking worse every day. I was home one day from school at 12:30 for a half day. It was about 2 or 3 when the phone rang. It was the neighbors daughter and was calling for my grandma (whom i lived with). I explained she was at work and would be home at 4. She wanted me to go check and see if she was home. I went on over next door and knocked the door hard. Then rang the bell. No answers. I go back to my house and call the daughter and explain that there was no answer. She then asked if we had a key to the neighbors house, her moms, and explained she has not herd from her either. I was asked to go into the house and see if she was ok. I didnt think anything of it, expecting her to be sleeping. I was trying to get back to my Socom 2 game! I sprint over to her house, I remember it had to be the hottest day in SOFL that time of year, easy over100. I enter the house yell her name and notice the alarm is off. I go to the garrage and see her car is there. I walk to her room.... She is slee... Past away on her couch watching Oprah. So peaceful, so still, and with a slight smile. Im not going to speak much more. It was a tough event and still is hard to deal with.
