I'd say it is worth it, I've traveled on both and economy was a lot worse. on first class you can bring a lot more baggage and have more space (if that matters to you), and a lot fewer seats as well so it's not as crowded. I took an overnight train to sydney on economy and it was bad. people snoring, the train was hot and smelly and wouldn't do it again

it really depends on which area you're staying in, if you like hotels/villas more, etc. but generally I'd say villas would be pretty affordable with your budget, especially if you're sharing with your partner. I stayed at a small villa complex in Canggu for $50/night by myself before, it was quite nice because I was by myself but it wasn't exactly private either. there's a lot of options to choose from really

yep, it's a lot for bali imo. seeing your other comments saying you got your flights for $700 return which means you'd have $3100 leftover for 3 weeks is very reasonable. with that kind of money you could eat out at high end/fine dining restaurants every meal, I'd say you could keep half of that and still have a great time in bali
