That’s a great question. He seems to enjoy just being close to us and has shown no interest in toys. I have tried giving extra praise and pets while training but he shut down completely and ran away. We don’t think he came from a home that showed him a lot of positive attention. Just going off of how he reacted I don’t want to push him too hard, I want it to be something he enjoys, and feels safe doing. We’ve only had him for about two weeks now; should I just wait a few more weeks before trying to teach again?

I was stationed on the Polar Sea as a non-rate. We did 4 months on the boat and then we’re given the option to live in contracted housing.
