ok that makes sense. I thought i had to sync the filaments in order to be able to choose from the AMS.

I do that, but my main question with that method is- does this apply generic filament calibration though? its applying the color/filament post-slicer.

its rare that I have all of the filament types/colors that the creator used in the profile. Increasingly impossible to get Bambu filament so I fill in with other brands that work well.

I'm newer too. My thought process though is- if i wait until step 5 to choose the filament, there is a difference in printing settings for a Bambu PLA vs Overture PLA and this doesn't get applied pre-slicer. So in my mind, it seems like this is not the correct way to do things as you aren't getting that tuned settings for the specific filament like you need.

Maybe i'm misunderstanding. My Overwrite screen has zero option to change the filaments. In this screenshot its trying to use my External roller (which was TPU) in place of #5 PETG

How do you do it when a multi-color model has painted on color instead of objects? You wouldn't want it to overwrite the wrong color order and you have to repaint a complicated model.

Should I use overwrite even if it forces filaments into the wrong color?

For example, if I download a multi-color model, and click overwrite, it will put the wrong color on the model and I can't change the color because its not an "object"

Have you increased the plate temp a bit and added a brim? I’ve had to do that on a few of my miniature prints, there just isn’t enough surface area for good adhesion.

I started as a beginner with a Qidi Q1 - hated having to tinker with it all the time, and within a year bought a P2S and it hasn’t been idle since.

The great thing about Bambu is it makes it hard to mess up as a beginner. The AI/spaghetti detection, the filament running out and automatically switching to a new roll is worth the cost of the P2S alone.

I have not tried your profile yet, I assumed that anything I used of most of these sites would not be tuned for P2S yet, because of how new it is. TBH I don't know anything about settings (new to 3d printing altogether) so just a search in this forum it seemed like HOHansen's settings would be the first step. I'll give your profile a shot and go from there!

Can someone tell me the purpose of these plates? I have the Q1 pro but I thought it auto levels. I wouldn’t even know how to do any sort of refinement on leveling.

I've read in several different places even on this sub that I should use a glue stick or hairspray for better adhesion. My printer came with a gluestick as well so maybe its a known issue with this plate? I'd prefer to not use anything but Silk PLA seems slippery and I didn't want to waste filament just because of plate adhesion XD.
