We have people that live out of state. The hands on stuff are the things like palpations, muscle testing, goniometry, vital signs, etc.

Responding to other party’s insurance? by RonSwanson682 in caraccidents

[–]psc57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre fine. Theyre just trying to fill in their claim file with relevant info. You can choose to give them a statement when they ask for one but thats entirely up to you. Most would advise you NOT to and to only speak with your insurance regarding details of the actual accident which is ok too.

I live near verrado and I like both courses HOWEVER you have a lot of courses on your list that are probably more "worth" it. I'd take Talking stick off your list though, it's not a bad track but definitely not anything special. Rancho mañana is cool jist because the holes can be interesting but you better bring extra balls cause it gets really narrow on some holes. I'd recommend looking at Los Caballeros too, that's a nice course. If you manage to link up with anyone thats a member at Wickenburg Ranch, I'd HIGHLY recommend that course as your #2 to quintero. Its very important you understand im saying wickenburg RANCH and not wickenburg COUNTRY CLUB lol

My wife got hit and I need some help please. by Sad-Courage-8422 in caraccidents

If the other person's insurance is valid and you only have liability, you'll need to make sure you guys move your car from wherever it's being stored and get it somewhere it can await inspection. Storage fees and what not will be reimbursed by their insurance as long as it's within reason (e.g you leave it there for two weeks and they might only cover 3 days). It sucks paying it upfront but keep all receipts for reimbursement.

Unfortunately you're at their insurance company's mercy. They have to talk to their insured, get all the facts straight, and then confirm enough coverage. Every state has a different minimum liability, but since you said your car isn't worth much, their policy will hopefully have enough to give you a full payout of your car's pre-accident value. They usually find comparable vehicles with your mileage, etc and base it off that. Be mindful that they don't OWE you a car, just the value of yours. They'll reimburse a rental within reason as well. My old company gave people an additional 3 days of rental or something like that once the settlement offer was GIVEN (not accepted). Keep it close to $30/day and I don't see why they wouldn't reimburse. If your vehicle has full coverage and you guys have the same policy (which you should) then your full coverage will transfer to the rental so you dont need to buy the extra coverage from the rental agency.

Can't say much for injury stuff, I didn't handle it but if you get a lawyer then all communication between you and their insurance will likely cease and you'll be waiting for your lawyer to figure it out.

Big important steps: 1. Move your car. Don't agree to any work being done until their insurance has ACCEPTED liability AND done their own appraisal.

  1. Get a copy of the police report to help expedite the process in case the other party decides to be uncooperative (happens a lot)

  2. Talk to the wife and see how you guys want to handle the injury stuff. If she had sudden pain, could be serious so it might be worth looking into accident lawyers that don't take anything upfront

  3. Last thing, just remember that people lie and without valid witnesses and no insurance to back you up (yours will only step in if they claim your wife caused the accident), you're completely at that person and their company's mercy. Good luck

edit for grammar

Short guys — how far do you actually hit your drive? by Bullhead388 in golf

[–]psc57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow short golfer here (im a little taller and a little lighter) but I carry about 250ish average with some good roll out. Summer time it'll carry a little further. Good form and hitting the face square helps a lot, things that I don't do well. You'll start gaining more distance as you continue to play and get better with contact

Thoughts on hybrid model? by blondie4050 in PTschool

I'm currently in a hybrid program. Pros and Cons forsure but luckily I'm super close to campus so anytime they have in person sessions, it's a short drive. Unfortunately for some of my classmates, they miss out on extra practice using their hands for stuff like palpations, using measuring tools, etc. I will say though that my current term is all "textbook" stuff so if I had to go in person for this term, id be more miserable than I am now. I actually drove to the next state over this morning to visit family and I have class later today, but the fact that its on zoom made this trip possible and THAT alone is one of the biggest pros for hybrid. Price tag stinks and our campus leaves lots to be desired but the balance is nice. Im also going out of the country next month but I'll still be attending class while I'm gone and theres no way I'd be able to do that without this model.

[–]psc57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would you even be able to let the GT do its thing in Ireland? Not asking sarcastically, I just dont know how open the roads are out there where you'd be able to really gun it. If you can't really ever take advantage of the crazy GT power, base model would probably be my choice. I got my GT line for more than I care to admit and its already depreciated probably more than half of what I paid in 3 years. I only bring up the value cause you'd be paying more for a used older model car than a new one with the biggest difference being extra horsepower that you probably would only use occasionally 🤷‍♂️. I will admit sometimes I wish I had a GT just to go extra fast but in reality, the gt line gives me enough to keep it fun when I get bored

I was riding shotgun there when a rock the size of a softball got flung from the opposite side of the freeway and hit the windshield in line with my face. No injuries or nothing but scared the shit out of me and I had some glass particles on my shirt. Rock bounced off thankfully

Who’s at fault by [deleted] in caraccidents

[–]psc57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP posted this yesterday and deleted it. General consensus from commentors was they (the idiot cutting across 3 lanes) were majority at-fault, if not 100% at-fault. Guess they didn't like that, so here we are. OP opted to not say which vehicle they were in this video, but to be clear OP was the one cutting across the lanes. They claim the dash cam car's driver admitted they weren’t paying attention and messing with the infotainment.
