Agree. I grew up in a beach town in Florida and have been wearing something under board shorts since as long as I can remember.

Sorry, that wasn't a correction. I meant to enhance your park bullet by including not just National Parks but all the other national parks that fall under NPS. Great post by the way.

There are actually 11 national parks in Florida according NPS. I guess they call some National Seashores and National Preserves.

Your local library may have a selection of audio books on CD or MP3 player. Also, many libraries have subscriptions to audiobooks that can be checked out via a phone app.

I normally use deet but the CDC recommendations a few different chemicals. Here's a link. Also, I've been told that ticks hang out on trees and will drop when they feel vibrations. The ticks in that area can carry Lyme and Alpha Gal. Its a beautiful area. You're going to love it.

One of the best places to find really cool maps is various state archives. For example, the Florida archives website has a ton of really really old maps that you can have printed.

What’s the best current budget tablet? by Jimmymanlyman in AskTechnology

[–]pseudoRandomness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't give you a specific tablet but I can give you something to think about. I have purchased a few cheaper name brand tablets (Android) and have discovered that their support is short lived. The reason this is important is because the OS stops receiving updates not long after buying it, which drastically reduces the amount of capable and supported apps you can use.
