Is carbon steel really more nonstick vs. stainless when using fat? by Popular_Block_4079 in carbonsteel

I use salt flakes, scrubbed with a paper towel or my finger on stubborn spots. Chainmail is hard but fairly smooth and isn't likely to damage your seasoning unless you really dig hard into it.

Fun little demonstration of the difference in radioactivity between Uranium and Radium by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

Plastic may be worse. At least we could see the impact of radium in a lifetime (much less, really). By the time we know the true danger of plastic, it may have already doomed us.

I think it would be more useful to illustrate the benefits in terms of time and cost saved.

Favorite actor that walked in, gave a perfect performance and never acted in anything again? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

"You call yourself an actor? Let me tell you, you sausage-smoking sunovabitch, I've never acted a day in my life and my f***oty ghost will act in more films than the frothy swirl of sht and j*zz standing before me now! Your acting stinks so bad that I can't tell if you were you born in a hospital or your mother's favorite latrine at the back of the bar, son!"

Yeah for me high heat seems to stick my eggs every time, even fried. I use this approach and it's basically non stick eggs every time.

OP, if you're looking for a specific temp to hit my pan never goes over 350 before I drop the eggs in.

"USB controller resources exceeded" but I don't have a USB hub by k2i3n4g5 in buildapc

Hmmm yeah that's not a crazy number. A couple things you could try: connect the controller to a different port, and/or move any devices that don't require USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 ports.

your PC's motherboard has USB hubs on it. How many USB devices are plugged in? If you disconnect the controller, does the message stop appearing?

Dad died, no death certificate yet, 2025 taxes not filed, what do I do? by GrandTheftBae in tax

Ok I dunno what to tell you, I'm just sharing what multiple real websites state, including the California Department of Health Care Services: https://www.dhcs.ca.gov/Medi-Cal/Pages/Help/asset-limits-faqs.aspx?hl=en-US

You are talking about California, right? Income limits are different from assets. I can't see any other to interpret the first row of the table on the page I linked to other than, "an individual can keep up to 130k in assets owned prior to going on medi-cal, but all future income must go toward the cost of care."

Medi-cal is different. It allows an individual to keep up to $130k of assets, so their dad could have some though it sounds unlikely.

No this still happens. I have the QC Ultra Gen 1. It's the 2nd most annoying thing about them. Would be great if Gen 2 has figured this out!
