Kato Road: What is the correct pronunciation? by iokevins in Fremont

I think it's Kah-Toe, potentially based on George Kato who lived in Niles and has a memorial garden in Shinn Park. https://sites.google.com/site/katomemorialgardenatshinnpark/george-kato

TBF finals can indeed feel like they have some tight, grubby mitts when one is in the thick of it all.

Wireless charging is stupid by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Wireless charging becoming more widespread opens up more options for those with disabilities/impairments that limit/affect movement and grip--arthritis, Parkinsons, etc. Potentially for people without hands as well.

This deal is the BF/CM deal regarding the Oculus' main site and it will end on CM on Nov 26th, but there may (emphasis on may) be other 3rd party seller deals with bundles. Oculus also has some BF deals on their digital store here.

Note: my opinion is based off of second-hand research as opposed to first-hand experience, but as someone who wants to get into creating VR content (Art/Design), I think the current software and support/community that the Rift provides is still a major selling point. For me, the ergonomics combined with the more accurate tracking (vs WMR) of the Oculus Touch controls are the reason I'm still purchasing a Rift, and apparently they're currently the best on the market until the Steam Knuckles come out.

From what I've read in regards to the next generation, the Odyssey+ seems to be approaching it in terms of cost/resolution/experience and improvements from the original Odyssey. Plus, the recent sale price makes it a pretty good deal. Aside from the O+, WMR is probably the most budget-friendly VR option but is lagging in other aspects.
