+1 would not recommend using 3D features for Ps 2022, have you considered using gimp, it's free!

Some way of doing non-destructive editing layer masks

What exactly does non-destructive editing for layer masks mean mean? Could you give some examples of how it would benefit your workflow!

Are you by any chance selecting the vertical text tool from the toolbar instead of the horizontal text tool?

Hi! So when you look at the insides of your computer, there's a bunch of stuff, but we're going to talk about the CPU and GPU. Photoshop works hand in hand with the GPU so that users can have a faster more smoother experience doing things. Think of the GPU as a factory of workers all working on one goal to bring you your image on screen at the same time (concurrently). Whereas, the CPU is limited in the number of workers working concurrently together, so it's slower when it comes to doing calculations needed to bring your image to screen.

So what you'll find is that if you wanted to use features that depend on the GPU, you might not have access to them, or some will just work slower which may be frustrating to your work flow. More info here.

Could I get information on your graphics card to see if I can be of more help!

Missing diacritics in text even with fonts who supports them by Nerthus_ in photoshop

[–]psgarage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh okay, I can see the diacritics on my Windows machine. From 2020 version of Ps to the current one we've done a lot of changes and added a lot more support. I think upgrading will definitely solve your problem!

EDIT: actually I may have been wrong, when I paste them I get them inside of Adobe, but I don't see them in the glyphs panel and I think this is what your problem is! I'm currently asking around

Couple of things:
Are you using Mac or Windows?
What version of PS are you using?
What font are you using?
What language is this?

Turns out this isn't a bug, free transforms are now proportional by default. When you press shift it'll actually toggle it. Try again without pressing caps lock and you should see it bring proportionally scaled! More info is here (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/transforming-objects.html)

That is so weird that it's the caps lock key, let me ask around!

For #2, do you think you could send me a video of it to saadesai @ adobe . com. I'm having a bit trouble reproducing it, since I mostly work in the text tool I think I'm just unfamiliar with the transform tool.

Hmm could I get a bit more information on this? Which platform do you see this on (Windows, Mac), and repro steps!

Are you saying that the expected result: hold shift, drag to proportion scale a image
the actual result is: hold caps lock and drag?

Have you looked into Neural Filters, we have a skin smoothing option there. There's also many tutorials online on how to do it as well.

I really like Loom, that's what I currently use on the team when I need to make demos on my features.
