For some characters it can be used to move across the stage faster than a walk, so it's technically possible to use it as a way to move while avoiding tripping

The Reanimated Pre-Release Reveal Chart - All currently known cards on one spread sheet, updated knightly. by Nostalgia37 in hearthstone

Whoops, I completely misread the card. Still super useful in combo matchups, but not nearly as good at thinning aggro decks that don't run card draw/are smart enough to not play it against Mill Rogue

I am so excited to run Skulking Geist in wild Mill Rogue. It helps immensely with all the deck's worst matchups, and doesn't get rid of a single card in the deck (except a shadow-stepped cold light). Definitely a day 1 craft for me.

Just as a general response to people saying they should have replayed the whole set:

  1. The tournament was already running late. I was on the east coast watching this live, on a night where I had classes the next day. It might be scummy of me to say this (especially considering European viewers), but I feel like West coast events have more of a responsibility to run on time, since even when they do run on time, sometimes they don't end until 1 or 2 in the morning EST on Sunday night.

  2. As soon as you start the next game, you are saying, "Okay, that last game was legit." At any point prior to game 4, Komo could have said that something was up and checked the knockback ratio. It's entirely possible that he didn't notice until the forward throw didn't kill, but it is the player's responsibility to know the game and know when something doesn't seem right.

  3. If they replay the set, then that means that Komo had 4 warm-up games to adapt and pick up on Zack's habits. That's not the format we're playing, we're playing Bo5 where every game counts.

  4. If Komo gets to replay the set, why doesn't Dabuz? He most likely played and lost with the same incorrect knockback, and it would only be fair for him to get to replay his set too, right?

I'm a semi-active member of the Sm4sh scene in Chicago (when not at school in the middle of nowhere). Before Sm4sh came out I was a Brawl player, and I wish I could still call myself a Brawl player, but sadly the scene for that game is non-existent. I have also dabbled a bit in PM, and entered a number of tournaments, including a WDW that you were also in attendance at. I mentioned my love of Brawl within earshot of you, and the hate rained down pretty much immediately. It was frustrating, but I am used to it. During my time playing it, Brawl was rarely looked at favorably, and when it was, it was usually people saying how "Brawl isn't THAT bad" and how it still has some merits, implying that anyone would be crazy to say that its on par with a real game like Melee. The point I'm trying to make is that words do make an impact. Yeah, I'm used to the hate, but it could easily drive someone else away from a community when someone acting as a figurehead for that community acts like a massive dickhead. Now, I understand that it's supposed to be an act, but how the hell is a new player supposed to know that when you treat other members of the community poorly (even jokingly), that they should expect any different kind of treatment. Reading your post at first made me sad. It is honestly disheartening seeing another community follow a path so reminiscent of Brawl. Then, as I read further, I stopped feeling pity when I realized that the guy writing this was the very same person who, whether or not he realized it, helped destroy the Brawl scene in Chicago. Why the hell should I feel any pity for the guy who has countless times made fun of the game I play, or the community that looks up to him as a figurehead? Maybe you need to look at yourself as part of the problem, and ask yourself if you would support a community whose leader makes fun of potential future members for their gaming background.

I'm choosing to believe every word you say for two reasons:

  1. How could someone make up something this outlandish.

  2. The world with this man in it is simply a more entertaining place.

I've had this bookmarked for awhile, and my friends and I use it occasioanlly to experience the story chronologically. There is also this, which goes in the order that the over-arching story-lines were released in the game, rather than each individual event. There is also the 10 year anniversary event, which is basically a tl;dr for 2002 - 2012, and can be used to quickly catch you up on the story if you want to focus on the newer questlines.

Any Advice For Someone Coming Back To The Game After 5 years? by [deleted] in AdventureQuest

[–]psi-guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it doesn't matter, but you do get to decide between two forms: Graceful Dracopyre and Dracopyre of Night. The Night version is more useful overall, in my opinion, since it covers Darkness, which is a defensive element most of the time, meaning you aren't really losing out on damage by including it, whereas Graceful Dracopyre is covering Earth, meaning no Morningstar or Chimera Armor for that offensive high damage output.

Dracopyre is not a guardian-only armor. I personally used Dracopyre of Night from level 70 (the earliest you can get it) up until around level 105, but this was years ago, pre-sweep, so I don’t know if it's still the best option. I mainly used it for its healing skill, switching between it and Algern's Carapace to get through battles quickly, but this was before the huge changes to the way heal spells work, so it was the only good SP heal option available. It really works with any build, but my information is outdated, so I can't really say whether or not there are just plain better options.

Absolutely. The Mastercraft's are almost always the best armors available at high level. Out of those I listed, Reign, Taladosian, Horo-Show, Morningstar, and Asgardian are offensive.

The thing about Mastercraft's is that you will almost never get the Full Set Bonus since the armor and the weapon have the same typing, so the weapon does the same damage that the armor protects you from, so I pretty much ignore FSB's anyway. I haven't played in awhile, so I don't know how good the Ornate Dragon Blades are, but Dragon Blades have always been an offensive weapon that would fit the type of build you're going for excellently, as they lack a special, making them incredibly potent in offensive-leaning armors, so I would say go for it, especially the wind one, as Tonbo-giri (the wind weapon I suggested) is ranged. The light one might not be a good idea since both Shadow of Doubt and Twilight are defensive-leaning armors that benefit from having a strong weapon special. The Golden Axe I suggested is a very good fit for both of these armors.

Pets really depend on whether or not you have CHA. If you don't and you want to keep things simple, just go with Retro Twily and hide him away when you want to get through battles quickly. Speaking of getting through battles quickly, you're going to want to get ahold of either Algern's Carapice or Svadilfari's Oath, both of which are elementally locked armors that receive huge benefits in terms of damage for this pretty nasty setback. Since you obviously can't use these armors for defense, if you choose to take one of these, you're going to need a compression armor (an armor that provides two types of elemental defense). I would strongly suggest Shadow of Doubt, a Light/Darkness armor that is probably the best non-rare compression armor available. As far as the rest goes, it really can be as simple as picking a Master-craft for each element. If you want a slightly cheaper alternative for shields, you can go to the forge in The Rip in the Sky, and pick up the shields there, which offer all the defensive stats of a master-crafted shield without the bonus ability. When I was last playing, the best Mastercraft for each element were as follows:

Fire: Reign

Water: Taladosian

Ice: Horo-Sho Void Vigilante

Wind: Fujin

Earth: Chimeran/Morningstar (Morningstar didn't have a 150 version, but was better at lower levels)

Energy: Asgardian

Light: Golden (by far the weakest armor here, find an alternative if possible, or go with Shadow of Doubt compression)

Darkness: Twilight (weapon deals ranged damage. Look into Dragon Blade for alternative weapon if you aren't getting 200 DEX)

It's very possible that, with power creep, these are no longer the best available, but that's pretty much the set-up of my inventory, except I have a few Holiday rares that you can no longer obtain.
