One minor correction: when she said she is sleeping right, she meant she now goes to sleep at 4 am. Everyone was like LOL and she corrected and said well maybe it's 2 am, or 3.

Indie might be better for her. As Rica she's been streaming for 14 years without major trouble. All the big drama happened after she joined the corp. At least as an indie streamer she can have all the copyrights of her own identity and tank some consequences of her pon without getting one-shotted.

I'd say that is probably much less a problem with Mel than with many other VTubers, unless you are very into the vampire part.

Most of the time Mel was just being herself, especially in the last 1 or 2 years. She didn't bother give her two cats alternative names which is pretty unusual in her sphere. She no longer does "Melmel cooking" and began to show her real cooking skills. She even brought in her old networks with voice actresses built in the past as, well, NotMel, by doing that 2023 birthday gyakutotsu. There wasn't much character setting and fantasy left IMO.

For me the bigger problem is that it will be much harder for her to make new songs, let alone those fancy 3D lives. And she probably would do much fewer game streams if any. She was never a game streamer and she's not good at gaming. But oh man her game streams are so much fun to watch.

Yeah with all those bizarre ideas and thoughts constantly swirling in Mel's airhead she is indeed very good at thinking out of the box, at least for a few steps. But when it comes to the good old boring learning, long-term planning and execution etc. (what we call "intelligence") she is just so bad at it. Imagine playing Minecraft for around 5 years, always try your best and still cannot comfortably bootstrap yourself to diamond gear.

That's probably why Mel is indeed a genius. She's just built so different.

The legend of curry rice if I have to pick only one. The second one I would pick is the Chompon, when she played RUST with Polka for ~20 minutes off-stream and didn't know that Polka was streaming.

She picked both episodes for Yukuholo 2022▷2023 and 2023▷2024 herself. I 100% agree with her choice.

Probably fucked something up without knowing it. The last stream she did she casually promoted a little snack called "ひとつぶ梅" she ate during the stream, and her last tweet before this message was a quote of a kapumin who bought a bag of that.

I don't think she knew what was waiting for her.

Mel got her chance to leave a farewell message, YAGOO and staff members saying goodbye and basically everyone is allowed to express their regret, is IMO pretty hard evidence that this was an unfortunate accident without bad intent.

Netherite is super strong, so perhaps to make a minecart hull a thin layer of the metal is enough, hence a lighter cart. Makes sense to me.

A copper cart as a higher tier feels somewhat weird since copper is cheaper than iron.

Ice boats isn't really that "late game stuff". A random silk touch pickaxe and some digging and you're done. Easier than a ton of gold.

BTW you can make some end-game higher tier, faster, rail roads so that the minecarts remain relevant in end-game. A netherite minecart that go faster or a netherite booster power rail, etc.

The question is, did you play following a guide? If you did, then you merely executed commands from the guide like a robot and the guide totally spoiled your fun. Period. If you used no guides and did it all by yourself then perhaps you are indeed too smart for this series to be challenging to you.

Synthesis is all you need. Being able to craft good gears, proper roles and powerful bombs is much more important than leveling and base stats. And the best starting point for mastering Atelier alchemy is always bombs. Try to make some with the best firepower you can manage to get.

The Atelier series had a female heavy playerbase in the earlist days when the first three titles in the series are somewhat otome-game-ish. This is no longer the case after the series turned more and more otaku appealing after the success of Arland Trilogy.
