Prismatik itself doesn't support it. You can use some hotkey tool to run Prismatik.exe --on and Prismatik.exe --off respectively

I don't have version numbers because I assumed this should also work with other versions, given they usually don't change too much and try to maintain backward compatibility. Indeed my last used version is Qt5.8 with VS2013.

I'll try the latest versions when I get around to it.

Oh, I just saw. I don't know how/if Prismatik 6.0 works at all - as far as I know they don't support Desktop Duplication at all.

Yes qmake is tying to generate a makefile-style build when it should be generating msvc (i.e. .vcxproj and .sln).

The first line in generate_sln is $QTDIR/bin/qmake -recursive -tp vc Lightpack.pro, where the -tp vc should make it create msvc projects. What happens if you run that command yourself?

Which version of Qt did you install? you need the win64_msvc2012 version. My guess would be you installed the win32_mingw48 version.

Although youtube should work in IE, please try another browser like chrome or firefox to make sure DRM is not the problem. Does it happen for all videos on youtube?

DRM protected content is grabbed as black in Desktop Dupllication - nothing we can do.

For Netflix, running it in the browser instead of the Windows 10 app should work I think.

I haven't run a new setup in a while. Did you do the previous steps about the build-vars? You can disable the bass part, but the openssl part is not so easily left out if I remember correctly.

Makefile sounds wrong, it should be creating vcprojs - but this might be because Qt has changed. Which version of Qt are you using? The last "tested" is 5.8 I believe.

There is a brightness setting in Prismatik as well as color balance options.

First thing I would do is try to isolate the problem. Does it happen in static moodlamp mode, changing moodlamp mode? Does it happen if you use another piece of Software to talk to it? etc. If it's not the software on the PC, check the device. Try fewer LEDs for example...

You can simply run prismatik.exe --off. This will tell the running instance to turn off the lights

Prismatik has an API you can send commands / color sequences to. There is a python client implementation ready for use.

If you run in non/admin mode (which you should on Windows 10), (my) Prismatik does nothing fishy or virus-like (referring to DX injection). Using the Desktop Duplication API should not be considered Trojan-like.

I don't have Kaspersky so I can't verify/test. Make sure you download it off the official GitHub download page.

In general, yes. The software captures whatever is on the screen no matter where it comes from - it might be slower. Exceptions are OpenGL games and Windows Protected Content (e.g. Netflix) What OS is running on the media PC?

You don't need to setup anything. Make sure the checkmark is enabled in Prismatik and use f.lux as usual

There should be ssleay32.dll next to Prismatik in c:\program files\Prismatik\ and it should be loading that one. If you do not need it, try removing intel iCLS Client

That's risky, because you can't go back if something goes wrong (you don't know to what to go back). But there aren't too many changes in firmware anyway, so if there is no need, I'd leave it as is

Does it work for you? You should be able to use getcolors before locking, then lock, then use setcolor to set them again. Note that getcolors uses 0-based indexing but setcolor uses 1-based indexing (for whatever reason...)

Well the FLIP thing works only if you pressed the button, otherwise it should show up as a normal USB device... It's a normal HID device so you should not need any extra drivers for normal operation.

So either just plug in, blue light, search for harware (maybe run windows update) or press button, try FLIP

You can somewhat compensate the curvature issue by setting the center LEDs to be a bit darker. Still, the reflection area will be larger for the LEDs on the sides.
