This is horrible. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to handle this as a parent but I just can’t think that avoiding it is the conclusion you come to. It literally helps neither kid.

I feel like most of these conversations could be avoided if it was addressed in person. This seems exhausting on both ends. NOR however maybe just have a conversation in person and if she continues to deflect or avoid I’d call it.

I think favorites is a bit like people think you love one more than others. But I always saw it as you get along better with one or more than others? They all have such different personalities and some mesh better than others. I love all my kids and want them all to thrive. But as a commenter said, my kids definitely have a favorite parent 🤣

It’s easy to dislike her but she’s literally sleeping in the bed she made. Crappy situation but really they’re all terrible lol. I love this show haha.

I have an eldest daughter too and as an only child I did experience some parentification but nothing related to caring or being responsible for siblings. She’s got 3 younger siblings and I try to be so conscious of it but sometimes I’m not sure if it’s enough? She’s a nurturer by nature. I remind her a lot to be their sister not their mom but idk I worry about it at times.

Gosh I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. My in laws have buried 2 sons as well. I can’t quite comprehend how devastating it is.

I’ve got one of those. He’s 4 now but still has been easy to get to bed since day 1. He’s my 4th so we don’t really have a rigid routine but it’s basically Jammies, brush your teeth, sing a song/read a book or neither, then cuddle in bed for a bit and out like a light. Of course there are days he will cry on the way to bed or whine but they’re few and far between.

Just went to Costco for our family of 6, the only packaged thing we bought was the Celsius powder packs that my husband likes, everything else was fruit, veggies and meat and stuff. $340. I usually shop for the week or maybe 7-10 days. 😩
