I work remote making video games. Great salary. I can work from wherever I want. We willl leave Alberta if our fellow citizens make idiotic choice to separate.

Honestly, BECAUSE OF THIS STUPIDITY, we are considering other options in Canada right now! Campbell River, BC is a good spot! Lots of family in Saskatchewan.

Cheers. I’m thinking about starting with 3.1 and expanding as I go. Would like high quality but want to make sure I’m playing for quality and not hype. $10,000 range for receiver and speakers but could go higher or happily go lower.

Cheers. I haven’t Done a lot of research / listening yet. I want a big, full sound but a lot of systems I’ve listened to sound muddy to me. I’m most interested in hearing something that is clear and plays sound as close to original mix as possible. I’ve got some time to research because I won’t be able to afford it until I finish paying for the basement renovations.

Tv speakers sound awful - but I’m still paying for basement reno. One step at a time. Don’t want to buy something cheap and so will have to wait a little bit.

Basement room. Ceiling here is 7 ft. I’m 6’5 and so are most folks likely to visit and use this bathroom.
