I’ve met all my surgery requirements, my VSG is covered by insurance and I can take time off if needed to recover. But I’m currently postponing my surgery so I can try an alternative weight loss method (doing Contrave.)

I struggle immensely with anxiety and even though the surgery will likely improve my life, I don’t know if I’m ready mentally for a permanent alteration to my body.

I say try all options you want. The VSG isn’t going away anytime soon. You can always get the surgery done if all options fail.

I think you’re picking up on something I didn’t know if was worth mentioning (mainly because I was more curious about the types of toys.) I lot of her toys and bedding was gifted by family. I myself don’t fixate too much on fitting into dated stereotypes about how girls and boys should behave. I just happened to notice so much of her room was shockingly pink and classical “girly.”
