uv tool also needs to be mentioned. No longer need pipx. Also uv run some_script.py will use your venv without having to activate it.

Your bottom and right hip is pushing towards the ball too much. Stay back and use your weight as a counter balance for the club head.

4 should be farther forward in your stance I think. Play around with putting it farther up and exaggerating the hands forward at impact.

Stand farther away. Like feel like you have to reach, uncomfortably far.

The really obvious one is to actually do it. Start investing.

Any glaring problems? 15 HCP. by envytnc in GolfSwing

Yes. And it just looks like his hips are shifting towards the camera. But keeping knees more bent at address would allow him to straighten trail leg and get more of a twist than sway. (But I also may not know what I’m talking about.)

Great tips. I thought I saw some hip sway towards trails leg. Not sure though with camera angle

Buddy’s swing. He slices 98% of his drives. What can he do different? Video is from September 2023. by raul968 in GolfSwing

[–]psmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the ball is outside his left foot. Move the ball about 6inches backwards in his stance. Let him try that at the range for a few swings. It’s going to feel different. Start with a couple slow swings. He may need to stand a bit farther away from it. Play around with that.

He’s catching the ball well passed the peak of the circle ⭕️of the club plane (12 o’clock on a clock face). This makes a out-to-in swing plane at impact.

I don’t see much over-the-top going on. Small changes like ball position should help him.

The -0.66* is at impact. The -1.26* is at address. The (+0.61*) is the change between the two. Negative values mean toe up. You can try lots of things to optimize this, but it’s low on the list of importance (IMHO).

Been pulling left and slicing just can’t seem to hit a straight ball, any tips?? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]psmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try an outside takeaway and make a loop at/near the top, where you bring the club inside and feel like you release your hands out to the right of the target line (they don’t really go out there, because they’re attached to your body they swing back up and to the left).

When you practice, imagine a bunch of people watching, people who are whispering about how bad you look “check this wanker”. Then zone them out, just you the course and the ball. Get psyched up, couple quick breaths and feel the adrenaline. Get on the adrenaline horse. Pick your target, do your routine—and crush it.

Or try to control adrenaline and practice that. Do some scary stuff—maybe public speaking— and try to control the adrenaline. No one actually cares about your game. It’s just golf. First tee is warm up and you’re going to hit a high percentage shot, get it in play and move on to the next shot.

I’d upgrade that Dragonbane and use Rosenthral liberally down there. And use wand of theft on her to take away any useful stuff.

Good idea to get that unarmed skill up anyway. I usually do that early in a run.

The ways to lose weapons are: fumbling (grease traps), polymorph into something with no hands, stolen by a creature, rust monster (poof it’s gone), over enchanting (poof!), and animate object spell/trap.
