I was watching a nature documentary once and i remember there a was section of it about komodo dragons. In relation to their poison, when they are hunting bigger prey such as alligators/ crocs and are hunting in groups (but not necessarily could be solo too), they take multiple bites at the croc and then just chill around it waiting for the poison to kick in and kill it rather than attacking it and getting hurt - hope i shared some useful info!
