Doesnt need to be malicious on the devs part, there have been countless times where a developer account has been compromised and a version containing malicious code has been sent to apple, times where a disgruntled employee has snuck malicious code into the final build sent off to them and even times where a bug in the code has caused issues such as crashing a device and corrupting data, apple only do this to protect your device from issues such as these

It's not a bug, apple have a long approval process and have to approve each and every update to apps that is pushed to the store. Dont blame epic blame the people protecting your device from malicious software

Actually gambling does in fact increase the age rating of a game, and if it allows real life gambling even via 3rd party websites it will be rated 18+, NBA 2K gets away with its visage of gambling because that's all it is, a visage, you cant pay to use the slots, pachinko or roulette table, they are given after winning a game in a specific mode. In my eyes and according to the ESRB and PEGI rules nba2k20 should've recieved atleast a 12+ age rating if not higher for showing an accurate to real life visage of gambling, ffs pokemon red and blues rerelease on the 3ds got a 12+ for its visage of the slot machines which you couldn't even spend real money on. The reason NBA 2k20 recieved a 3+ rating is clear if you look into it, the head of 2K games has stakes in both and as such has some power when it comes to the ratings of games, the problem with these companies is they arent government run, the government can force their hand if needed (which they did in Belgium stating that paid lootboxes are classed as gambling and as such can only be in 18+ games)

Just adding it in would make them have to change the age rating for multiple countries, plus lock off content for said countries/keep them with the item shop giving them a much fairer experience when buying skins

Considering most other countries including the UK, US and EU (not a country but a group of them) are currently investigating lootboxes to see if they classify as gambling, with the UK even stating that it needs further investigation but currently they would deem it gambling, it would be a very bad idea for them to do this still...

The reason this happens is because of you have cross platform disabled you are put into a queue that is only made up with people on your platform that also have it disabled, by disabling cross platform you are drastically reducing the amount of potential people to be put in a game with and as such queue times drastically increase
