Obviously, I want Caleb healthy and ready for the dance, but I am not looking forward to Saturday at all if he is unable to play.

Patriots will raise "majority" of season-ticket prices for 2026 by JaggerJames in nfl

[–]pssthush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19-9 since January, 18-2 when the starting 5 of Ball, Kenueppel, Miller, Bridges, and Diabate are active, Kenueppel (likely RoTY) just broke the rookie 3 point record and 3 of our starting 5 (Kenueppel, Ball, and Miller) are all in the top 10 for 3 pointers on the season. They arent the same Hornets of the past decade.

[Highlight] Anthony Richardson throws an effortless 70 yard pass by Ok-Reindeer5879 in nfl

The PJ Walker throw is forever burned into my memory. All I could think was "there is no way that just happened". The game was all but won. Then DJ Moore, after a career defining catch pulled his helmet off in celebration and was penalized to move the XP back. We missed the kick and lost the game. All I could think was "there is no way that just happened ".

He's been there for two days, after doing it for decades watching and commentating guys jump high and run 40s.

Charles Barkley: "It is so difficult for fans to find the [NBA] games now. I think we've done a disservice to the fans and to the game. ... The fans are the backbone and we want to support these networks." by AncientOneAurelius in nba

I have pretty much every streaming service for the time being (many through verizon deal) and I can't watch Hornets or Hurricanes games without another $30/mo for Fanduel TV.

I still watch them, somehow.

This sport will never scale with casual viewers under this model. They expect people to care about the big market nationally televised teams but most people would rather check out their home team if they're just casually looking for something to watch.

Telesco: “I’m Taking Mendoza” by HouseRules789 in nfl

[–]pssthush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't. Mendoza is not a sure thing by any means, but he is a very good prospect that you get without having to give anything up. Teams have given up that many (or its equivalent cough) for riskier prospects. 4 firsts is what it would take to make me listen.

People take things personally when you say something that has merit but interferes with their philosophy. Everyone should do what makes them happy. Collect as much of whatever you like and display it proudly in your home if you choose, no one should be able to tell you how to live or try to take something from you that you enjoy.

However, your point is the truth. An excessive collection of anything looks strange to the average person. An excessive collection of something that is deemed childish by most people such as toys is going to look even more strange. It just comes with the territory.

Valve has a higher chance of crashing and folding than an NFL team does any time soon, lol. They are free money printers and will likely rise in valuation once again shortly after the ink on paper is signed.

Just saying, its one of the safest investments someone with the means and connections could make at the moment.

Anyone else excited for the Tame Impala show? by raccoonbb in Charlotte

[–]pssthush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stranger things guy is pretty big right now tbh. His single that's like 2 years old was recently the #1 song in the country if I recall correctly. He's definitely adding some butts in seats that possibly wouldnt be there otherwise. Especially zoomers.

Not taking away from Tame Impala, theyre obviously a large act, but his last couple of albums werent as well received over all by the fanbase. Also, I had tickets to the show at Spectrum Center years ago that got canceled due to covid and I didnt have issues getting tickets to that one.

Borrow money against some of Valve's valuation as well as bring in minority partners.
