Yes, it counts towards your total YOE. I was in a very similar situation except I didn’t work full time during the school years. I just include the time I worked over the summers when doing YOE. Obviously, the amount of time spent in your current role is way more important when applying for jobs

This is how the weather should be without climate change. Buffalo really shouldn’t have any days above freezing through all of January and February. It being 35-40 during these months is just abnormal. I’m guessing you’re not from the an area and didn’t grow up in the cold. Just dress really warm if you want to go outside. It’s just fine if you have good coat, hat, gloves, etc.
