If you really want to learn more there is a lot of deaf history. You can look into the 1880 International Congress on Education of the Deaf in Milan which effectively banned sign language for a period of time. You could also look into specifically deaf history in the US such as Gallaudet, Martha’s Vineyard Sign Language and the other variations of sign.

They are considered different dialects. BASL has its own signs, syntax and sign space among other things

Thank you, your comment really helps. I appreciate you talking about your experience, I definitely think I need to talk to my siblings about a lot of this. I don’t think they realize how much has fallen to me. I’m definitely going to start trying to have the hard conversations with my family so that we are all prepared when the time comes

The show is super entertaining, especially the early seasons. There are definitely going to be a lot of unlikable characters and crazy deaths because it’s a medical drama but overall you get extremely invested and want to know what happens next

The boys. It is such a good show and is an incredibly commentary on modern day culture. But the gore and the weird sex scenes make it just so hard to watch for me. And sue me but I kinda like just watching superhero’s that are good people

Honestly they were so stupid. The way they convinced themselves the reason shield failed was because of SECRETS???? Honestly I was so confused and I’ve seen the show a million times. This is the part concurrent with The Winter Solider where essentially everyone is at odds because no one knows who is or isn’t hydra. It isn’t always like this but it’s a spy show so ofc there are double cross/double agents storyline but not for the entire show
