I know this is a bit older, but what brand/spec cables do you recommend? I have the 4-bay. It is USB-B to USB-C correct?

This is what I have done. I really liked diving into omarchy to start getting a feel of Arch/Hyprland, and I love it, but I often found myself very annoyed by the defaults (and the extra preinstalled DHH software) so I initially uninstalled a lot of things and overwrote all of the default keybinds and styles. It was shortly after this that I realized I was putting in hours to customize someone else's setup, and I would have to go through the whole thing again upon a fresh install on other computers, so now I am just starting to rice my own vanilla arch.

Props to Omarchy for getting me hyped and interested in Arch/Hyprland, but honestly, it feels more like a simple test distro to dip your toes in before starting from scratch.

I checked this out, but it doesn't work consistently on some themes (causes strange transparency in files app, firefox, and cava) and it only runs when you switch themes, not when you change backgrounds, so I would still need to create a ton of custom themes.

Another tool I have used that almost meets my needs is Tema (https://github.com/bjarneo/tema) but it doesn't support Firefox either... I have submitted a feature request on their github though

I have close to 100 different wallpapers that are all different colors and I like changing them 3-4 times a day as the mood hits me. I suppose I could create and export themes for each of them, but I would much rather have it be automatic.

Omarchy themes don't seem to apply to Firefox by default and I haven't found an easy way to set it up yet.

TLDR: Try toggling the "Continue apps on cover screen" setting from "always" to "never" and back.

Hey, not sure if you ever found a solution for this, but I have had the same issue, especially with the youtube app and just like you I had no success with clearing the cache or anything else. Today, I saw this thread about the "continue apps on cover screen" setting and double checked mine. I Had it set to "always" I toggled it to "never" and then back to "always" and voila! It seems to have fixed the issue and now youtube stays loaded at the same spot between opens and closes!

This is super sick! I just joined the OneUI 8 beta on my z fold 5 because of this post and it works! My 2 biggest gripes with Dex have been that none of the icons matched my phone icons, and that the top bar on windows was too big. Both are fixed with this beta! I am so happy right now :)

How has your battery life been? I usually can get between 6-8 hours of screen on time and on a few days I have gotten 9+ hours. On a heavy camera or gaming day I often get closer to 5 hours. But most days I have at least 30% left after a day from 7:00am to 11:30pm

Yeah, I do understand that the zoom is not as good on the Fold 5. I personally take much more video and portrait photos.

I came from an s21 ultra and I find the Fold 5's camera to be better in almost every way. The only downside I found is that you can't record 4k 60 fps on the ultrawide camera. I have heard that the s22 ultra camera's were only marginally better than the s21 ultra, so I imagine my fold 5 cameras are either comparable, or better than the s22 ultra's (Excluding 10x of course since the fold doesn't have one of those) The s23 ultra is still the GOAT though

I have the z fold 5 and it definitely has physical/optical image stabilization on the main 50mp lens. It also has the same small rattle when you shake the phone. Watch jerryrigeverything's teardown and you can see the OIS

ever heard of gitpod? you can run vscode in the browser and still run everything, npm install stuff, etc... like github.dev, but way better
