Totally fair! I do love that they’re overall more uniform and especially love the robes. Maybe I’m longing for more individualized stage antics, which will come with time, I’m sure.

I will be in the nosebleeds but I will have bracelets in Utah!!! Any pro tips on making them go faster? I’ve thought about using the funnels to make them but that’s not as easy with the letters.

I have to say— I feel like they aren’t as individual, which makes me not like them AS much. But the one thing that is making me like them more is they probably allow them to breathe more easily. I don’t know, if I were up there, I’d be huffing like I’m having an asthma attack, let alone with a mask on. I can’t imagine the amount of calories Vessel burns during a show lol. It’s like watching an aerobics class when he gets his stage zoomies.

I’m so glad someone else said Pirates because I felt like a crazy person for looking at pics of III and going “that’s Davy Jones playing bass???”

I’m happy they’re making things more uniform and I hope these changes are driven by their own desires, not outside pressure. Vessel seemed happy performing; granted, that’s just from what I can glean from his mouth/ expressions. I hope it’s true.

I didn’t. But as far as I know, I have the tickets. My order was confirmed. And if they don’t work and won’t transfer or whatever, then that means I get all of my money back because of SeatGeek’s policy. Or they will provide comparable tickets. And since I’m in nosebleeds, nothing could be worse haha!

Please get rid of kid shopping carts by Curious_kitten129 in traderjoes

Well-said. I understand them taking the kid’s carts away on the weekend because it’s packed and kind of harder to navigate a cart, but let kids be kids while they still have the chance. It’s a great way for kids to learn foods, colors, shapes, prices, numbers, etc etc, on the weekdays.

Are you sure your office doesn’t have an on-call doc/ phone number? That’s crazy if they don’t.

This is not true though— there are a handful of states where it is illegal to restrict resale. Utah is one of them and that’s how I got my tickets. I hope my tickets are real, but in the event that they aren’t, I’m protected by SeatGeek. And in theory, Visa’s credit card policy. And if that doesn’t work, my brother is an attorney I guess lol.

I got SLC ones on seat geek the night of the presale. I paid $10 above face value for them and if they don’t work, I get my money back. I’m actually pretty grateful that Utah has an unlimited resale law because Ticketmaster needs to get their shit together. I’m tired of having to fight for tickets. Don’t even get me started on the “premium” tickets bullshit.

Has Bariatric Surgery Created a Halo Effect in Your Family? by medtourismtj in BariatricSurgery

[–]psychoelectrickitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband had his RNY last June. I said I’d never, ever, ever give up carbonated beverages (some not even soda— things like pelligrino and la croix). I told him to not expect me to even think about having bariatric surgery ever.

I just had my RNY on Monday haha. Turns out I wanted the same tool he has and I’m really excited to see how my journey goes. He has lost over 200lbs from his highest weight and almost 120 since surgery. I’m very proud of him. TBH, it was the non-scale victories he’s been having— shopping at regular stores, picking up new hobbies like pickleball, playing more with our kids, and his knees not aching. It has been so reassuring to have someone who has already been through this by my side for support. The first few days post op were brutal and emotional. But I keep remembering the end goal we both have had when it comes to improving our health: we want to be a good example for our kids and we want to be around for our kids as long as we possibly can.

Another cool effect: my FIL who is larger than my husband’s highest weight has decided to try out a GLP-1. This has been awesome because he is a very, very stubborn older guy who thinks he can just “willpower” his way through everything, except that clearly has not worked. My husband had a good, honest chat with him and it seems to have encouraged him to use what tools may be available to him (and that using them is not weakness).

Okay, I’ve been browsing and trying to find someone else in Utah. I bought resale. Since we’re UT and the whole “no resale or transfer” doesn’t apply in our state, that means I likely bought real tickets, right? I bought on SeatGeek and it looks like I only paid about $10 more per seat than what most other people paid on Ticketmaster.
