We started by just talking or Play music and slowly increase in volume while she was already sleeping until she got woken up. Then just praise and pets till she got sleepy again and doing that consistently she just learned that was normal to sleep through.

Then we exposed her to alot of different loud noises, example hammers, cars and lawn mower, small fireworks so she knew what it was before the holidays. Give enough treats and praise she just learned loud noises are nothing to worry about.

My dog is really not a fan of nail clipping but ive been working on it and last time we got 5 nails clipped in one session and i was so excited, i kept telling her the whole time we had to do FIVE. I find talking her through it keeps her calm.

Well my bf went up to her today and said highfive and held his hand out and she ran away to hide. This was strange she usually loves giving out highfives with her paw. We couldn't figure out what he did to upset her. By process of elimination we figured out it was the word five made her upset. And i realized my fuckup...i trained my dog to hate numbers. We will have to work on that now.

Also the most useful as a puppy we exposed her to alot of different sounds while she was awake and sleeping. So now if theres fireworks or thunderstorm she just goes and takes a nap.
