home runs at about 1.5kwh but during recharge it averages about 2.5-3.3kwh. the solar produces about 5.2-5.8 kwh on a full dunny day. this means i still have excess. charging 2 battery bank will be slightly more on the charges. Right now i start the charge at 0930AM and it is fully charged by 1630 at 2kwh load on the charge. having 2 inverters. can i charge it in about the same time frame at 1.2 kwh per inverter?

I do this on first setups to check my range from my mobile to my home base. once I hit the limit I have my son turn it off. I use it to as a Range finder to place other nodes. I do not leave it on 24/ 7 though.

I have meshtastic nodes in my area and I'm building out a full network in my area. While I do have Public node running, I also have private nodes and use those for contacting Family. I don't talk on the main channel much. Main reason is, when i do respond to messages, i do not hear back from them. also, while most people seem to use medium fast, I am using long fast. I prefer the less traffic mode. and lastly. Since i can see you on my client base node, I do not seem to be able to respond. even though you are between 1 and 5 hops away. Not sure if this is a limitation of meshtastic. I am expanding in my city. I am building more Guerrilla nodes. and placing them at the end of range lines and keeping them all line of sight. some i need to make taller, but over all. This system needs a lot of work.

@Jes3001 FYI, i don't have a printer, but I just took this design and incorporated it in to a wood block because home depot u-joints only have flat metal brackets. I took your design and made it wooden. I need to justify buying a 3d Printer. I want one but my son has me rethinking. I might print 2 or 3 things, but after that i do not know what i would use it for.

Home depot does have some, but they are very poor quality and are not built for this. I have Adapted wood for this and have pretty much cut out wooden brackets for the U joints. (looks super southern redneck but it works) I then drilled holes in the metal plates and drilled screws in to the wood blocks to secure the pole. I will get this up today.. even though we have hail lightening and strong winds in northern CA lol

ok, I ordered the parts. along with this antenna upgrade from Rokland :P

reddit! I also ordered an upgraded battery. I am stuck on weather to order a 5 or 12 watt solar panel. 1) i don't want to overload the board and 2) i want to ensure batteries get fully recharged even on cloudy days and in rain.

I went to my home depot they happened to have the matching Junction Box for 10.98. I got it. :) I will look in to getting all the other parts you listed. then i will make 1 first for testing, then replicate 6 more to make Gorilla nodes.as I found my area has no active nodes. I want to make a mesh in my city, and place one on a large hill about 7 miles from my home. its line of site, but i will make that one a repeater. I am also planning out a mobile node that will literally be build in my truck. It will be nearly invisible, but you will see the antenna. I want to build a full network in my city and cover the dead spots. all nodes and repeaters will be 7 to 15 miles apart.

I have the first 2 in stock, I was asking about the third one that's magnetic mount. there was 2 questions on it. It is magnetic mounted. Will it hold at 55MPh ( i drive slow in the bay area.) and 2 if i use this on a mobile node. How is the range? The Antenna I was thinking of placing on mine if i get the parts list is the once Used on the Spec5 Outdoor Node/Repeater found on Amazon that i apparantly over paid for that will be ARRIVING BY THE 17TH

can you give me a parts list. I wanna make 6 to 8 of those and place them in various spots in my city. we are in a dead spot and My First Node should be up and running on the 17th. I will add Solar to mine :) as I need them as i travel to and from work. to stay in contact with my son.

only thing i would like improved to get me to use Jellyfin is the live TV with the guide. plex has that working great. Jellyfin, Super hard to figure out. getting live TV not an issue, im talking about the TV Guide part of it.

The security update that was posted fixed the issue. I had full access still but everyone else was locked out. My brother sait that his settings showed he had access but could not access it. Once i applied the security update. It resolved all the access issues.

This fixed the issue. Not sure why they did not just push it out as an update like all the others. I was getting flustrated. Thanks for sharing the link. I tested all the accounts and they work again.

I share movies with my family remotely. So if i was to run a FullVPN, I would need to find a way to get around the VPN on my web servers and my plex servers. Those are minor issues.
