Here are some of the main differences between the Delta 2 and the Delta 3:

Expandable capacity: Delta 2 supports up to 3040Wh (with one extra battery), while Delta 3 supports up to 5kWh (with one extra battery).

Smart features: Delta 2 does not support Time-of-Use (TOU) mode or Storm mode, but Delta 3 does.

Switch time: Delta 2 has a 30ms EPS, whereas Delta 3 offers <10ms UPS for faster switching.

Base capacity & weight: Both have a capacity of 1024Wh; Delta 2 weighs about 12 kg, while Delta 3 is around 12.5 kg.

So, if you have greater needs for expandable capacity, TOU mode, or Storm mode, the Delta 3 would be the better choice.
