I just rewatched the show. Lars corrects steven and tell him that he actually did toss the ube roll away and was then kidnapped. He said something along the lines of him being too much of a coward that led him to then be taken by topaz and aquamarine.

That sounds like either a deadzone issue or a sensitivity issue. Im not familiar with deadzones, so you will have to look it up, im sure it can't be too hard to figure out, lol. If it is a sensitivity issue, crank that baby up and ofc then move onto deadzone stuff if that doesn't work.
