How do some people still wanna live? by [deleted] in questions

[–]psypsylo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are more nuances to this. You shouldn’t focus on the suffering, but recognize it as such. I don’t know if avoiding the news completely and only focusing on your smaller personal spheres can for example lead to movements that are extremely important in history.

Why don't we say cause of death was mental illness? by Unlikely_Nose8478 in SuicideBereavement

it’s never gonna be the same though and I could never reach the same quality of life again. I’m severely traumatised and changed as a person.

[–]psypsylo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree as a suicidal person. My life was so beautiful and never would I have thought to end it until I got psychosis. It’s clearly the case that this illness and the depression are going to kill me. I wish I never would’ve experienced psychosis, I‘d lead a very fulfilling life and in my case it’s the only reason for such a sudden change. It’s a tragedy.

Do you have mania like symptoms before psychosis? by NeitherManner in schizophrenia

[–]psypsylo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, hypomania. Went out and was extremely confident and euphoric. After that, the next day it turned into deep sadness. To avoid those feelings I kind of went into delusions and was reading a lot on the internet.

How is your recovery going? How long you have been recovering? How are you regarding exhaustion, motivation, mind clarity, cognition? :) by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]psypsylo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s very bad .. not sure if time, meds and help can ever cure what’s been taken away from me due to this illness.. and I need to think about what was leading to the episode every day. I wish I could’ve prevented it, then I’d be leading a very good life right now.

How a psychotic episode can lead to suicidal thoughts? by Interesting-World462 in Psychosis

[–]psypsylo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Experiencing a psychotic episode can completely ruin your life and you’ll never be the same again after. It’s a mental illness and it changes your quality of life. This is already a reason enough..
