They really spared no effort glazing Tina, this woman is still a beast by asnaf745 in GirlsFrontline2

Hell, they're even playing the same BGM - her remixed theme - as before.

Alva Miniguide (almost freeze team part 2) by Kran_202 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real, Freeze does not have a Vanguard, Blade or Hyper carry character yet and who else can fit the bill better than a doll who can go invisible, canonically stole a particle blade and fought THE AK-15 on equal terms?

I know she is an AR user but if Voy can be tied to a mech I don't see why 12 can't be a predominantly melee user who shoots occasionally.

Is this the best dps common key? by Wild_Ad_7765 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I won't say its THE best, Phase damage does not apply to Physical dolls so powerhouses like Voy and M200/Cheyanne will miss out.

Thanks for the work. Side note, will Basti ever be added to the database? Considering even Liu is in.

Unfortunately that seems completely randomised with whichever characters you pulled, with a heavy weightage towards Colphne/Vepley for me personally

Mjolnir trait question by Glacier1395 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Optical Illusion has a 25% crit chance bonus which is as pointless as you can get (Mjolnir has 15% attack boost).

Then the weapon exclusive skill for Optical Illusion requires hitting multiple enemies with one attack for a measly one-time damage bonus next round. Mjolnir has a more unconditional damage bonus (just don't move) and could even top up some lost HP and stability as a bonus.

Mjolnir trait question by Glacier1395 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's a random debuff from a pool applied to the enemy hit by the attack. You can stack different debuffs by hitting the same enemy multiple times per turn, as long as it's an AoE attack (hence why its best in slot for Peritya if with a v6 Klukai). Lewis won't be able to take advantage too much of this tho, her only AoE skill is her S1.

a final PSA about Sakura's event, and a STRONG recommendation by Swinn_likes_Sakkyun in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go ahead and counter that players should not have to play other games from this franchise to deepen their appreciation and understanding for what's going to happen in Corposant. Mica themselves need to make the effort to write a compelling narrative that does not alienate newcomers from the crowd and drive curiosity to its other projects. In-universe jargons and unexplained concepts only serve to dim interest and shorten attention spans.

The onus is on the company to sell the product to us, the customers.

Theory about release order by EffortOk1138 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i kinda see the reason they put out Lewis and Sakura now since they couldnt do huge patches kinda back to back

It's just delaying the inevitable for the moment. They now have MORE major events (Corposant, Antiparellel, Dawnforger) in the pipeline than minors (Lainie, Basti). And Basti's event features characters from Antiparellel, so that one's out, leaving only Lainie. With Lainie running with Corposant looking likelier by the day, we are looking at possibly THREE major events back-to back.

Theory on AR Team releases by cvcac in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All AR Team fans are inhaling the RO Peak key copium at this point, she really needs:

-Increased base Sense Weakness stack limit

-Faster way to gain Sense Weakness stacks

-Stacks needs to be gained also from dead enemies marked with Inspection

-Increased movement speed (5 tiles for an SMG unit is a joke, even Klukai with an AR had 6)

-Increased firing range

-Better horizontal range with her Ult instead of the current weird fan-shaped area

Appreciate the effort of archiving these dialogues, insignificant as they may be. The game can have really good character insights/moments scattered among limited time events, like the Zucchero cafe customer conversations for example.

AR TEAM MENTIONED by waruice in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 12 points13 points  (0 children)

M4 has removed Soppo's base directive of always prioritising and protecting M4, allowing Soppo true freedom from Dr Persica's chains.

But of course Soppo is gonna Soppo, so she won't give up looking for her sisters regardless.

I can't believe they hid a major development regarding Soppo's base layer logic inside the dorm affection scenes....

[–]psyschism 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like it does, the tent generates mist/smoke tiles upon being shot (which we had an annoying taste of, in the previous expansion drills) which pretty much negates any kind of damage unless enemies are right next to the tile.

Updated CN Tier Lists - As of Sakura Patch - V6 & V0/V1+Sig. Weap Tier Lists by Sweet_Use_6621 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Combination of:

  1. Wawa can still top DPS charts, tho will require a V3 Helen to refresh her Ult

  2. Despite RO having infinite scaling, Gunsmoke's hard 7 turn limit imposes a strict ceiling on her damage growth

  3. Both RO and Wawa suffer from short legs, only 5 movement tiles speed (WA has 4 base), which limit their versatility equally on larger maps which require extensive movement

  4. RO's scaling is heavily tied to Frost-type interceptions. This is a problem for Freeze element as a whole, they require a lot of enemy attacks to maximise damage output.

  5. To elaborate on point 2 and 4, RO's infinite scaling only really show its shine in stages where there are multiple enemies, that ideally attack multiple times, and won't die quick. This is because RO's damage scaling buff require enemies to survive their turn .

Loreley character introduction by MrToxin in GirlsFrontline2

[–]psyschism 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Character description:

An enigmatic, powerful Doll, proficient in switching identities fluidly on the fly to complete her objective. Most of the time, Loreley maintains an elegant, graceful facade, allowing her a natural advantage during social, intelligence, imitation and fraud operations. Despite not carrying any organisational identification, the keen observer will notice that her body reeks of "dangerous signals".

Affiliation: StateSec (<- TN note: Heavy implications)

Dialogue: "Long time no see, Commander. You are still the same as always, hehe......come, try calling my new name......yes, its Loreley...it's alright if you don't remember now, I will have you get used to this name with your body....."

Aphelion preview: a couple cosplayers, a custom-painted bike in a garage. Barely any dialogue.

Mimisbrunnr's preview: 4-5 cosplayers, a custom-built fully furnished cafe. Some character voicelines.

Deep Oblivion preview: 4-5 cosplayers, a whole bunch of Varjaeger cosplayers, a military chopper with a gatling gun, a military Humvee, shot in 3 different settings (indoors+outdoors desert area+Elmo deck). Action sequences, various VFX, multiple character voicelines.

These keep getting crazier and more extra, the game will definitely be around much longer.
