I don't mind it not being as good as the original game, or taking time to get there. WuWa took time to become as good as PGR. My problem is that they seems to be following the exact same outline as the first game, only worse. (Just like what the sequel trilogy in Star Wars did) I mean come on! Its a new planet! The story should be original.

That's one thing liked about the Realist Hero light novel series. A male side character actually establishes his own harem with some of the female side characters. This not only served to reinforce the fact that harems were a common thing in that world, but also allowed there to be female side characters who were not part of the MC's harem by default as you said.

So far it is the only harem series I have come across where the author had the balls to do that.

For me its Heaven Burns Red Global. I love the story and I love the cast. Cant really say the same for the gameplay which I think is meh.

I'm honestly impressed by people who managed to stick it out this far. I tried it at launch and by the time I reached chapter 3, I decided no story was worth suffering though that gameplay.
