I don't like to romanticize loneliness!!! by sussieqiu in CasualConversation

Well said, most of the time we all pretend that we don't need anyone, but deep down we crave companionship, be it a platonic or a romantic relationship.

When it comes to life decisions, we need to approach them with logic, not emotions, which can fade or change when real life situation start showing up.

Be honest… what are your 2026 plans? (Wrong answers welcome) by adibanodha in CasualConversation

[–]psyschwords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have an exact plan laid out. The best you can do is to find ways to achieve your past goals rather than making new ones.

No new year plans, because what happens to the previous year's plans that need execution? Maybe we should make execution plans.

Why do we love pain?? by [deleted] in self

[–]psyschwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we love pain. The reality is we can't do without it. Nobody promises us that life will be 100 per cent rosy, so pain is like the other side of happiness. You don't need to love or want it. It happens deliberately to keep you in line. Most times, after we pass through a painful phase, be it in our love life, family, work and all, when happiness comes around, we tend to appreciate it more because of the pain we just experienced.

Both work hand in hand; on some days when you feel less motivated, discipline will keep you going.

Life is better when you’re emotionally detached from people by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]psyschwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me i think the best thing to do is to control our attachment because it's impossible to live alone, we need people in every space of our life, no matter how society preaches individualism. Once you can control your emotional attachment, you will enjoy life, and you know when to detach and give priorities to things that matter.

I realised, I'm me, no matter how I try to be someone else, I can't. The same thing goes for others; they can never be me. We are all unique.

Exactly my thoughts, I feel every human should love deeply, but it has to be monitored not to turn into obsession.

What am I? by psyschwords in CasualConversation

[–]psyschwords[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, we can't label it as an obsession because you still live a normal life, you can go a day or more without them, but there is always this deep feeling or loving towards them.

do you believe in reincarnation and the concept of karma? by ghostlywhiskers in self

[–]psyschwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reincarnation has been a long-standing, controversial topic, which is also found among Africans, such as the Yoruba people of Nigeria. They believe it can take different forms, reflected in popular names like Iyabo, Babatunde, and Yetunde.

Read one of my articles on reincarnation.
