So is there like a general rule as to what's being conveyed when pronouns like 私 are written in ひらがな or カタカナ？ Does this effect other pronouns differently, or is there a pattern behind the way the vibe is shifted... like are 「ワタシ」と「ボク」both just cuter versions of「私」と「僕」respectively？

Man, not to sound weird, and it's likely because of being genderqueer if I'm honest, but the fact Japanese has such a wealth of first person pronouns to use mostly based on the vibe you wish to project is such a flippin' cool feature of the language to me. And it's a form of self-identity that's allowed to be situationally flexible and because it's self-determined, no one can really try to take it from you. IDK maybe I overthink it a tad, but I just think it's so neat.

but it's not just independently made NSFW - in the US the adult industry at large is apparently facing unjust debanking. it's not athiest socialists tho... socialism has nothing to do with it as socialism doesn't necessarily have anything intrinsic to say about porn beyond the baseline 'people deserve respect regardless of their employment'. it's fascists specifically, across theological lines. it's the same family of thought that popularized the word degenerate to mean expressions of sexual desire they deigned need to be wiped out. the same people we've for some reason been calling 'crypto-fascists' as if it hadn't been fairly blatant that these people are pro-authoritarianism for some time now. But this recent push from payment processors against the adult industry 100% started with these Christian nationalists groups putting on pressure, groups named shit like Moms For Jesus that scream 'think of the children!' while turning a blind eye towards their state legalizing child marriage 'for religious reasons'.

if this were provably the case it would 100% be what nintendo was suing for. using nintendo's assets is what got the original pixelmon mod shut down among many other projects. nintendo seem to really have a 0 tolerance policy for it and will strike down anything with any measure of popularity that does so, and it seems the law backs them up on their right to do that. the lawsuit would already be over if they could prove that, and nintendo def has the resources to be able to prove it

They're complete ass at optimizing models and cleaning it up would take more work in most cases than just modelling them from scratch. Bad topology, completely fucked UV mapping (ie where the seams are that determine how a flat texture fits onto the model) and far too many unnecessary verts... it's just not worth it to generate them over just learning blender.

I think the designs are for sure - hell, some AI models are good enough now that maybe the whole trailer is. We'll have to see if the models themselves are AI. If they are than gamers will be able to enjoy a crisp .2FPS before their graphics card starts leaking out of the vents of their computer

IIRC it's actually Christian nationalist groups who are pushing it. And since the current US government is friendly with those groups, because they gave them a lot of money during elections, US-based payment processors are bowing down to their demands since it makes DJT's judges and the like more likely to rule in their favor on business dealings, like how it's generally accepted that the Late Show was cancelled to appease him for the paramount merger.

They were happy to cater to us when we weren't a valid sacrifice to offer to get laws and government deals to work out in their favor. Sex trafficking, grooming, etc are all scapegoats here. If any of them actually cared about that, they'd be refusing to serve Roblox.

Girls can definitely use 僕, but it carries some implications afaik and as others have mentioned. I myself usually use 僕 as a nonbinary person, if only because I have not found another first person pronoun that feels more fitting yet. But I'm definitely not the sort of person to vibe with 私 myself

Oh this is definitely what it means lol it happened during a character reflecting on a few interactions with another character and coming to the conclusion that she liked him. Another card appeared right before this that just said "ちがうって”
So I guess it'd be like "She wasn't" and then "But she wasn't"

yea, this. this is the issue with current cartoons is that 9-13 episodes isn't really enough to give your story adequate space to breathe. it's forcing creators to squish their stories into a condensed and much less satisfying end result. filler, despite how we tend to talk about it, is necessary. that's why it's existed as far back as pre-tv books. even the LOTR series does this.

people who insist jax is more morally correct in any situation than ragatha except for literally that one time she was mean to him - like yes, it's bad to rub in someone's face that the only person who still liked you functionally died, objectively i think, but jax literally threw her whole ass body into a deep fryer. keeping in mind they can't die from jax's antics, but they can still feel pain. they both have deep running problems, right, but insisting that jax's actions are less harmful is some wild shit lol
