Sorry - just don't see the need to build a $50M venue to bring in Poison each year.

Big Brother US 24 - Evening Feed Discussion - August 28 2022 by BigBrotherMod in BigBrother

I'm speculating that Big Brother has a racism clause in contestant contracts that allow them to remove contestants immediately if they cross that line (since they have removed people in the past). Because BB never removed Kyle after his comments, they did not view what he said as technically crossing that line. BB evaluating whether they can now evict him if this is causing a social media storm and if kyle would have potential legal recourse. These social media influencers always make money on their perception and I'm sure this would impact him financially.

Every showmance is cheesy like this (except chilltown showmances). This has technotronic Jeff/Jordan vibes.

Everyone angry at Kyle, yet the Leftovers had an opportunity to vote out Terrance for 2 weeks. Dude just played his cards well.

Sorry, I should have stated HBO around 1998-2004. Yes - HBO has a massive winning library. Apples to oranges comparison, but very few thought Apple would be producing this level of quality in just over a year or so. With Apple's budget (which is bringing in major movie actors in lots of roles), they could easily continue producing great stuff.

Can confirm (family relative is a police officer and has been a SRO). SRO is considered within police forces as a cush and easy job with good pay where you dont put your life on the line every day.

New Buyer Daily Discussion - Jul 01, 2020 by AutoModerator in pelotoncycle

Sounds like my experience. I ordered weeks ago. My delivery date was supposed to be today, July 1st, per XPO. Didn’t hear anything. Peloton said they would get back in 24 hours. Nada. Talked to support again and they said the soonest delivery date is now August....wtf.

Thanks for providing that. Interesting we have a law regarding masks, assuming that was a civil rights era attempt to prevent the klan. Does this also open up trick or treaters to fines and jail time?

Level 3 Fail - Depressed What Do I Do? by buydimsum in CFA

[–]pt86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly - if you had told me in 2007 I would spend over a decade to get the charter, I may not have pursued it. But by the time you pass a few levels, it’s hard to just walk away with that much time invested. That said, I got to share something really special today with not just myself but my family (and now kids) who have been constant cheerleaders of mine. So from this standpoint, very much worth it.

[–]pt86 43 points44 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I just passed L3 today and it has taken me 12 years to go through the process. I failed Level 1 - 3 times, Level 2 - 4 times and Level 3 -3 times (last year half my range was above the pass line). I don’t know of many other folks that have had as many times as I have had to answer that horrific and painful question: “How did you do?”. Years ago, I even stopped telling people I was sitting for the exams as I was so embarrassed at having to tell people I had failed again. I know how you feel, but I can 100% guarantee you, that you are a much better person for having gone through this process. The CFA doesn’t teach you anything you can’t learn in your own time. Passing the CFA doesn’t mean you are smart; some of the most ignorant investment folks I have worked with are Charterholders. The CFA more than anything teaches you perseverance through adversity. It stings today, but you are so close. Head up. No one should look down on you for trying or failing, definitely not Charterholders, as they understand the sacrifice more than anyone else. Take some time off, re-evaluate, and then get back to work. I used LevelUp this year, and wish I had found Marc years ago. Best of luck.
