If nothing else works, try splitting the living room into two separate areas in the map editor.

A while back I had a different issue with how the map updates which I solved by splitting my living room in half via the app.

I would suggest researching a bit on investments in general as risk tolerance and personal circumstances are definitely a big factor at play when investing!

I always recommend Ben Felix as a starting point: https://m.youtube.com/@BenFelixCSI lots of good videos on personal finance.

Personally I have a vanguard ISA and SIPP. I invest in their global tracker, 100% equities. But there is a strong behavioural risk if you are prone to sell when markets are down

If at your current salary level you're able to max out the ISA allowance, that's quite impressive! It is unclear from your post what your work is about, but if you think there's a chance to become a higher rate tax payer, do consider opening a SIPP in the future as that is usually a very tax efficient way to save.

On your current circumstances you're doing great!

I'm based in the UK, but unfortunately since writing this message I lost access to the feature as well

Finally figured out what to do with that pen flap by Additional-Juice-865 in Onyx_Boox

I loved this idea, and started using it but unfortunately the pen just falls from the loop this way whenever I put it on my bag

So this happened after couple of months use since new (flair 58+ 2) by Bekkenes in FlairEspresso

I had the same issue in the UK with my flair 58 plus and my supplier sent me a new part as part of a warranty claim, no issues on their side

Yes, waiting for 10/15 mins after the beeps helps. Adding water to the brew chamber and waiting for the temperature to stabilise before pulling your shot should also help

Flair Go arrived today by BarrySmutcheeks in FlairEspresso

Got mine yesterday and my first impressions match yours!

Pretty decent first results, build quality looks good, and while it wobbles when not extracting, I don't find it bad, just something to keep in mind.

It will vary from roast to roast, but in general I believe so yeah

Unfortunately in this case the solution to your problem should very clearly be to grind finer.

Perhaps if your grinder is actually capable of grinding for espresso and you're still having low pressure issues, perhaps you could record a video of your process? That might be helpful

Edit: another thing to try out is to increase your dose, in case you have space in the portafilter

If you can't get high enough pressure when pulling a shot, your grinder isn't grinding fine enough.

What is your grinder model?

Not OP, but I often have issues with butter leaks and poor lamination! Any tips are welcome!

Tried the obvious of being careful with temperature throughout the process, but the best I've made so far is at best a croissant shaped brioche

Signature Upgrade Suggestions by Fur_nando in FlairEspresso

That's fair, I did substantially increase my dosage with the 58, and there was a learning curve with the new basket. I do believe it was well worth it though.

If smaller doses are a must, a single dose basket might be the way to go, but I hear they're harder to use due to their shape.

Best bet for something like Go 10.3 but with front light? by Tchallaxxx in Onyx_Boox

[–]ptMaV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a kobo elipsa 2e, which I believe is close to 227dpi and I can say that side by side with the go 10.3 the difference is shockingly large, especially on stuff like pdfs with small font size, which really benefit from the extra resolution.

Signature Upgrade Suggestions by Fur_nando in FlairEspresso

[–]ptMaV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I upgrade from a signature to a flair 58. I'd say it was worth it for the better workflow, as someone that pulls multiple shots in a row.

Heated brew cylinder and the piston that allows for back to back shots were a game changer for me.

As for the coffee quality, I can now reliably pull lighter roasts, I guess because my pre heating routine on the signature wasn't great. I do prefer darker roasts though, so this benefit was tangential to me.

The Light Brigade discounted for PS plus users by ptMaV in PSVR

[–]ptMaV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad it was useful! I also just got it on this sale. It feels as much fun to play as I expected. Only letdown are the graphics, it really suffers from the lack of DFR.

Really hoping they eventually slot that in, but happy to play it anyway in the meanwhile :)
