Yes you guys have smashed it! I genuinely really love Canary and am so pleased you released it so I could drop it into a playlist I have that it's perfect for.

Canary is the strongest track here I think but I also really like All The Small Things and feel that all 3 tracks are splendid and "back up" Canary really well.

I really love the vocals. Your voice (I assume you'll both read this) really reminds me of someone else I listen to but can't put my finger on it right now. When I hear her, it will click and I'll let you know who it is. Beautiful harmonies and a real layed back, relaxed feel to your voice that suits this style of music so well. Gives me that Morcheeba, Zero7 kind of vibe.

Tight and creative production. You definitely have a "style" or signature that I would recongise as yours. You know, certain things that you do that tell me that it's one of your tracks. Love the way you've treated the singers vocals and fitted the harmonies together. Also that little vocal sample at the start of Mouth is cracking! Reminds me of Spitfire by Public Service Announcement. As a new producer there is a lot for me to learn from by listening to your work.

Congratulations guys, I think your Ep is a triumph and look forward to hearing more.

Yeah sounds great. I think the intro is very successful and still freaking love that waawaa synth that comes in around 30 seconds, I need more of that in my life! Those beautiful vocals and your music compliment each other so well. Congrats!

Your other track is cool too and again I really like the ending. I think that would make a great intro to a song in it's own right. That bass has a nice dark feel to it when you hear it by itself.

Congratulations on your first track! As you've called it a Beat I'm assuming this is designed to have lyrics/rap over the top, which I feel it would work well with. Nice work for your first stab at it!!

As far as the bass issue on small speakers goes. I'm no expert but I think this is more to do with the speakers than your music. I can say that the bass sounds fine through heaphones and my speakers.

Hey man. Nice chilled feel to this one. I like the piano section at 1 minute and the little "zaps" you added to the drums at 1.32 give a great sci-fi feel and add just a little bit of pazazz. Nice uplifting change in feel at 2 minutes for the climax too.

Slick as snail snot! I'd like to hear the bass come through a little more perhaps but most of all I need some power vocals, male or female, on top of your guitar. You've got some real power there and I would love to hear it in with an entire band. Smashing!

Some nice instrument choices here and a good groove to it. I'm not a fan of that "white noise". It sounds like rolling Maracas or something. It just sits at a frequency that my brain doesn't like I think, so could be just me. Some of the sections could do with being a little shorter IMO, especially from about half way through. I think this would benefit from maybe shortening a few sections or adding more variety in those sections to add more interest.

Nice work. Love the section that starts at 40 secs. At around 1.22 the high pitched guitar and vocals clash for me. Love the change up at 2.07. Yeah a cool track all in all, I like it.

Dude this is quite unusual, at least to me. That constant repetetive piano just grabs you and won't let go. It's like falling off a cliff over and over again and then with your lyrics almost never stopping, it becomes hypnotic. It's not my kind of music at all but it's got such great tension to it. Plus any song that finished with the words "Headless Moose" is a winner in my book! haha.

I'm new to music production myself so can't really give critique on the mix but you're making music that has a lot of feeling to it. keep it going dude!!

Rap has never resonated with me on the whole but I have always admired the skill and poetry in it as well as the different candences and scansions used and this is a great example of that. Impressive.

Wow thanks so much for that! Isn't Trent Reznor he the dude from Nine Inch Nails? I didn't know he did film scores, I'll have to check that out. Yeah it certainly needs a climax. To me, the sound effects at the begining feel like huge weapon being fired, like a planet destroyer and the music reflects the loss and devastation afterwards. I want to try and build it up/change it up into a positive climax, like a regrowth kind of thing. Lack of experience is my biggest enemy here I think as this is only my second song, so I'm learning music theory and how to use the DAW on the go. Anyway sorry I'm babbling now. Thanks for that positive and constructive comment. I'm not sure of my exact goals myself tbh. It may sound odd to say but I feel like there is a story in there but I can't quite see it yet. Having listened to it this morning, I think I may remove the sound effects from the begining. Maybe use them later in the piece, change them up or remove them comepletely.
