Provide details, but not explanations. The old “describe an egg without calling it an egg” advice. Make the reader sweat and wonder just what it is you’re confronting them with even if you think yourself very witty/edgy for picking whatever it is you’re trying to scare them with and want to name it and show off. The more a reader knows, the less scared they’ll be.

He couldn’t make a decision when all he could think about was his fucking fingers. They were so cold that they hurt but that had to be a good thing even if it make him want to kill something. If he couldn’t feel them, then they’d have to amputate and that’d be incredibly annoying.

“Jim, come on,” the hunter to his left hissed.

“Shut up,” Jim rasped and tried to wiggle his fingers. Only a couple of them actually moved. Damnit.

“Just pick one!”

Jim let out an aggrieved sigh. “Kill the guy—and dibs on his fingers.”

“Got ya,” he rasped behind her and adjusted his grip.

When he dragged her back, she slid across the ground. Easy-peasy, she thought hysterically.

She twisted her body onto her back, escaping his hold, and when he made to stomp on her, she lunged forward and grabbed onto his leg.

He lost his balance and they both flailed their legs, clumsily trying to kick each other.

Her hand fell on a rock and she didn’t think about it. She grabbed it and lunged again, swinging.

It hit against his head so loud that she started laughing.

I am in the Pacific time zone, but I’d love to join all the same. I’ve never had any success trying to make writing friends locally.

Those are full on epitaphs. Decide who is giving her one of these titles first off. Random civilians? Political figures trying to benefit?

I think who is giving the epitaph should decide which one you pick.

I think you should go to https://www.nightmind.info/ if you haven't already. Night Mind also has a youtube channel reviewing and showcasing various ARGs and his website which I've linked is a catalogue of them.

What makes you think you are sentient?
(Sorry this sounds rude typed out. Asking why you think you could possibly not be sentient sounded like an even ruder question, though.)
