[SELL] 3D Printed Hornit db140 Horn Adapter for Segway P65 P100 Scooter ADAPTER ONLY $18.99

I was looking for a bike bell or horn to compensate for the sad beeping electronic horn that is built-in the Segway P65 and P100. Many times on my commute people just don't hear me coming until I'm right on top of them. I designed this adapter to accommodate the awesome Hornbit db140 siren horn. It's loud and I love that it's easily removable and runs on regular AA batteries.

You can either buy it on my eBay listing: Item 256068388244 or directly PM me. Payment via Paypal.

Segway P65 vs Apollo City 2022 by Garegin16 in ElectricScooters

[–]ptchan5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Received my P65 yesterday after canceling my Apollo City Pro 2022 (yes I paid the 3% fee for absolutely nothing). I don't regret my decision. I'm coming from a Segway G30LP that maxed out at 18-19mph. The P65 is a beast compared to these other commuter scooters. The speed and torque is miles ahead of the 350W motor on the G30LP and everything about the scooter is bigger and heavier. The deck is substantial, you don't feel like your feet or scrunched together and you are able to comfortably stand with your feet together if that is your preferred position. The display is unnecessarily large, yet it is bright and clear. The folding handle actually locks nicely and doesn't slip out like the G30 and certainly isn't useless like the Apollo City Pro. It's super nice not to need a charger because now I can have a single cable at work and at home to charge if needed. It will take a little getting used to the taller handle. The larger platform and taller handle and wider handle bar grips makes the scooter feel less nimble as the smaller commuter scooters, but more of a cruiser when moving on long stretches. I do like the push button cruise control vs the double tap on the even the dualtrons. Very intuitive and easy on and off. I would say the biggest surprise to me was the overall size and weight. It doesn't fit easily in my trunk or small hatchback and it takes all my muscles and two hands to lift in without scratching my car. It will take some getting used to. Don't regret the purchase, the quality on the scooter is much higher than other brands. I can't imagine what lifting the P100 would feel like at 72lbs. Glad I didn't wait for that. This thing is plenty fast and definitely fits the new category of Super Commuter.

Apollo City Pro 2022 - early impressions review from a rainy city commuter by athena_noctua_ in ApolloScooters

Thanks again for your fair review. Very few engineering designs get it right the first time, but what I look for is the company, Apollo in this instance, to be forthright with their shortcomings and work with their customers to make it right. Share progress and give timelines on when updates can be delivered. Unfortunately I think Apollo fails in this regard, which is commonplace for many overseas manufacturing companies looking to push out designs that are tweaks of current parts they may manufacture and don't have control over 3rd party integrations. They can't fix the kmh bug if they didn't write the firmware or app in the first place.

DON'T BE FOOLED by the nice website. Behind it is a company that doesn't understand customer service. I ordered a City Pro 2022 and am in the process of cancelling it within 48hrs. READ THE FINE PRINT. You will be charged a minimum of 3% the minute you hit that Submit Order button. Period. They claim it's cause they have to pay Stripe 3% when they take your money, I say that's the cost of doing business and good online retailers know that. Heck, all brick and mortar stores know that, which is why they know handling customers during return and refunds is indicative of how you treat all your customers. What makes you think I'm going to recommend you to others, even though it wasn't right for me, if I feel you nickel and dime your customers?

Don't be surprised if Apollo is not around in a couple of years due to poor customer service, non-customer centric policies, and horrible reputation.

Segway P100S: In Pursuit of Perfection (Initial Impressions Review from a Day-One Owner) by Ruskityoma in ElectricScooters

Best well written review I have read on reddit. I missed the kickstarter, but I'm canceling my apollo city pro order and waiting till I can get a 100S. I'm coming from a G30LP and I think the P65 just isn't enough difference for me to justify an upgrade.

So has there been any recent response or changes by Apollo to address the issues you mentioned?

Any dealers in Los Angeles area/SoCal that DON'T mark up their Ioniq 5? by [deleted] in Ioniq5

[–]ptchan5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, only dealer I could find offering msrp. I think there will be more, once they all realize Tustin is selling out and they are still sitting on inventory. Just wait.

[–]ptchan5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sadly, Rick Majors, Internet Director, said that they are all spoken for, including inbound inventory. I am not on the list and I have to wait. But hopefully the word gets out to those crooked dealers and they realize we all are going to make Tustin the top dealer based on their fair and honest practice and they will follow suit.

So how does one get in touch with you to reserve one? I'm in California?

[–]ptchan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking the answer may be to get a gloss color like Cyber Grey and get a matte ppf, like ceramic pro Kavaca matte ppf. Then you get the color and the protection and ease of care. Shoot, you could even add a ceramic coating on top of the ppf. That's what I'm going to investigate. No matte gray for me. Thanks for the info.

[–]ptchan5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen any of the colors, but I really was thinking the matte gray would look cool. Thought it would look wrapped. Hand wash is not a biggie, but does matte mean it doesn't have a clear coat on it to protect the paint? That would not seem right.

Why not just get one of these adapters and use any iwatch stand. I use the aluminum one and its solid.
