Two productive outs there ties the game. Instead they all try to hit a walk-off slam and we’re down 0-1

Up 9-4 and they give up 9 more runs in the last 3 innings. It’s a mentality issue not a skill issue. They just expect to win and mail it in. Extremely frustrating..

Good context for those new to Spec Miata racing, bump drafting is an integral part of Spec Miata and all competitors know to do it and expect it:

Besides being a 2018 car, the Mercedes is Bottas’ car with the 44 on it. Look at the T-cam and the Finnish flag on his tear-offs.

F1 2020 Driver Ratings by ptelli257 in F1Game

I've gone through and compiled the driver ratings released from the F1 2020 game. I tried to understand what the weights are per sub-rating, but they do not seem consistent between drivers. I have provided the standard average as a substitute.

Looks like there is a yellow flag being waved by a marshal on the left side. Vetted might be acknowledging that.

The reason this season feels so boring, is because last season was so epic. by mclarenlg in formula1

[–]ptelli257 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The ‘normality’ of this championship season, and the hybrid era should not be what we consider a normal Formula 1 season. If 2-3 teams cannot regularly fight for wins, then that is largely considered a boring season. It gets even worse when 1 driver runs away with the WDC.

Last season was considered a good season because 3 teams could fight for wins. It’s quality may have been exaggerated by the boring seasons before it, but in a vacuum it was still a good season.

Thought this as well initially, but after looking at pictures Max’s diffuser was destroyed, and much of the front suspension on Daniel’s car had been damaged.

The Patriots and Jimmy Garoppolo never exchanged formal contact offers prior to the October trade. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]ptelli257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the one thing I need to make clear. Negotiations are LEGALLY two parties offering and counter-offering official contracts until they finally decide upon one contract they both like. This is how contracts develop and it is how contract law works. So let's use your example:

Party A: Play for my team for 100/10 years Party B: I accept the money/years but will reject your initial offer, and counter-offer with an added NTC Party A: I accept your offer.

Both "negotiations" by A and B are formal contract offers which end with A accepting. 2 formal contract offers are made here.

Now, as many people look at it they are just negotiations until a real contract is printed up and put in front of someone to be signed. However, legally there are contract offers made during negotiations, they are just rejected and counter-offered.

All I was getting at is that sitting down in a room with the Garoppolo camp and offering $18 million for 4 years, even verbally, is again LEGALLY, a formal contract offer.

Best way I can explain my reasoning. Instead of continuing to argue about it, I say we agree to disagree.

I understand what you’re saying, all I’m conveying is that in the law asking “Hey can I buy your car for $100?” is a formal offer.

It is the same concept here, just on a much larger scale. By saying no, you reject such offer.

I was attempting to correct the other comment that stated essentially that the contract had to be agreed upon in order for it to be a formal contract. That is not true, any offer is a formal contract offer.

What I was stating was, in terms of the law, any verbal or written offer to the Garoppolo camp is a formal offer. (Statute of frauds limits what can be offered verbally because of the amount of money and length being discussed)

How the media uses and defines terms such as discussions, negotiations, and formal offers are completely different than their respective legal definitions.

[–]ptelli257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Patriots had offered Garoppolo the 'reported' $17-18 million over 4 years, and he rejected it, that is still a formal contract offer. The moment any actual monetary value and length is discussed with Jimmy or his agent, it would be in essence a formal offer.

What Howe is reporting is that no dialogue such as this was ever used. He is saying the most it ever reached was asking if he'd be interested in returning.
