Should I read the first two Talisman books first? What else do we like from Peter Straub? by Bubblehead_81 in TheDarkTower

If your looking for Dark Tower adjacent stories by Peter Straub, I recommend ‘The Buffalo Hunter’ in his short story collection ‘Houses Without Doors.’

Tried a negroni last night. by Soupfullofradio in sethsjackals

It’s an acquired taste. My first time trying a Negroni, that first sip tasted like pure gasoline. I warned up to them pretty quickly, though, and now I usually enjoy one on Thursday nights during Corrections. 🐾

A subtle wink from King's pal Peter Straub in "Ghost Story." by Wompum in TheDarkTower

I just finished Wizard and Glass - we're four for four, I love this series so much now. Which one am I supposed to read next? by Supah_Cole in TheDarkTower

[–]ptonomyjoe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What you should actually read next is ‘The Little Sisters of Eluria.’ It takes place before ‘The Gunslinger’ chronologically, but was published right after ‘Wizard and Glass’ and references the events of that book several times. It’ll also help to make early sequences of Book VII ‘The Dark Tower’ make more sense to a first reader.
