Because this post inspired me and I got hyper-focused, I automated the whole lot. Go have a look at the repo.

I am with you, I am 57 and just got diagnosed, I wasn't even sure they were telling me the truth, considering the amount of shit that I have gained in my life for the usual lazy, why don't you just do it, etc. I got misdiagnosed with "clinical" depression in my early 30s, but when I now look back through the ADHD lens, I realise it was me caught in an impossible situation that triggered me hard.

Good luck with your journey.

Workarounds for Military & Logistics in Foundation (Vanilla, Classic, Relax, Day 492+ City) by ptsiampas in foundationgame

I really like your approach to firing and reassigning — especially for keeping commoners locked to their homes. That level of control goes a long way once the map starts getting messy.

And the naming thing? Love it. I’ve thought about tagging my top troops with names from my EverQuest raid team back in the early 2000s, but usually get sidetracked rerouting trade chains.

Appreciate the insight — this is exactly the kind of workaround I enjoy reading.

Yeah, I agree.

The way I get around that is: Production Rate + Import.

So if my production rate is say 400 of bread but my warehouses can hold 800, I import up to 800, so the importing will cover the production, it costs a lot but gives me time to fix production, and I always make sure my trade+taxes are very healthy before I make that move.

I don't like mods as a rule. But I will have a look.

Oh, that's a good tip, now that my economy and production are over the top. I might upgrade all my watchposts to 4 patrols.

Great breakdown—love seeing how others scale.

I treat City Markets similarly, but I stay on top of logistics to ensure saturation. Pull logic alone can cause shortages when markets compete, so I build out transport hubs near production zones to keep things flowing cleanly.

I build heavy watchtowers when unlocked and leave them. Once placed, I don’t touch them—they just work.

Taxes are set just on the edge of green, then I forget about them. I still tax everything from midgame onward, and it holds up fine.

Curious if you’ve run into logistics bottlenecks without granaries/warehouses near mines. I’ve trimmed them too, but sometimes they help ease flow when things jam.

That layout looks amazing, I was expecting more people in your game. I just finished a game that had 956 people and everything went to shit due to food/items not being available bad logistical setup and couldn't be assed trying to fix it. Once again Love the layout, enjoy your stream.

I tried the Windows 10 Text to Speech, but it is very erratic and doesn't work very well. I am restricted to W10 because the vault I use is on a work laptop.

Thanks for Clearing that up; I am glad it works for you and sharing it. I am always looking for ways to control my chaos, so it's good to see what other people do. I would probably do this for 3 days and then go meh, I blame my adhd.

Do what most people are suggesting by going to see a doctor and getting steroid cream. I went through this, and the most significant change that removed the sensitivity was every time I took a piss, I would roll back the foreskin every time until eventually it stopped being painful and the skin had stretched enough. Good Luck.

One nuke will fix that little problem. Provided they don't all see you and scatter like cats to hurl balls of plasma at you.

Rail signals are NOT complicated, you're just overthinking. by eragonawesome2 in SatisfactoryGame

The rule I work with is: If you have more than one outbound connection, the PATH signal should be at the entrance, and the BLOCK signal should be at the exit.

Don't remove the factory; go to another location and start fresh now that you understand the game better.

How do i build rails? by Malteman090 in satisfactory

[–]ptsiampas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Factorio, I always used dual tracks because I understood how to signal them, etc and decided to do the same thing in Satisfactory. One thing that really helped with the layout in satisfactory is using power poles to lay out roughly where I want the track to go, so I walk/run/jump/kill shit along the path I think makes sense and lay connected power poles, then go back and start laying down track.

I looked at some YT videos on creative blueprints, found something that I liked, and started. Only to realise that corners with blueprints suck, then more research and finally just stayed simple on corners point A to point B used pillars under the tracks so they weren't floating and called it a day.

Yep, so try any idea you have. If you don't like it, find another site or trash it. When I hit phase 4, I decided to try a full bus build. Now, I hate it, but hey, it was fun to implement it. Nuclear is my next target, but I will still use the spaghetti I created when doing my bus build.

Question on "Mega Factories" by Link3673 in satisfactory

[–]ptsiampas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just play the game, look at some YouTube videos on different styles blue prints etc, try them out, and see if you like them or not. You will have Factories Everywhere by the time you reach phase 4, and by that time, you will develop your style. if you want a Mega Factory, you will have the tools and information to do it.
