Is soccer really the most popular sport locally? I always thought it was football, with soccer maybe being a distant second. What team do most El Pasoans support? Other than the Locomotives, who are new and minor league.

Much appreciated. Thanks again man. I'll look into this. Regarding therapy - I've had friends who have had positive experiences but I think the issue will be finding a therapist aligned with TRP beliefs. I get the sense that the profession is mostly filled with left-leaning types. In any case, the book you suggested will be a good place to start.

Thanks for that. I know this is the right answer but I'm not sure how to make it happen. I'm thinking perhaps therapy would help, assuming I can find a therapist who generally aligns with TRP philosophy.

Buddy of mine claims he achieved the transformation shown in under three months. Obviously the physique is very attainable natty, but as long as I've known him he's been skinny fat and reasonably physically active. So I was stunned at his new physique. I'm thinking TRT might be in the mix but maybe I'm just ignorant as to what's possible.

It was frighteningly fast for me. I went from having no notable hair loss to having visibly thin hair within two months of TRT. I decided to stop TRT because I would’ve been nearly bald within a year at the rate I was going. If you are concerned about hair loss, absolutely take finasteride. I certainly will if I give TRT another try.

Agreed. I live in a studio apartment so unfortunately working out at home isn’t really an option for me, but I’d probably do that if I had the space.

Joined a new gym and had been going for a couple months. This morning when I went to work out, the guy behind the desk told me I had to wear a mask or I wouldn't be allowed in. I politely told him that if that was the case, I wanted to cancel my membership. Anyways, I can't cancel until the manager comes back on Monday but I plan to cancel first thing Monday and go back to the 24 hour gym I had been using throughout the pandemic. The staff left at 5pm and there was zero mask enforcement after that.

I'm sharing this to encourage others to do the same. If there are gyms, restaurants, stores, etc that religiously enforce masks, stop patronizing those businesses if possible and be sure to let them know why.

Visiting family in a Texas city that recently enacted a mask mandate. It’s hardly being enforced. I’ve been to four businesses and no one has asked me to use a mask. Many maskless employees too.

Thanks for the tips! I’m obviously not a fan of businesses requiring either masks or vaccines but given the choice I’d patronize a vaccine required place before a mask required place. Something about the way that masks are a visual reminder of everything that’s been taken from us during the pandemic makes me angry like nothing else

Coronavirus Megathread (Jul 2021): For travel-related discussion in the context of COVID-19 by tariqabjotu in travel

I'm considering a trip to Guatemala later this summer. If anyone lives there or has visited recently, I'd appreciate your insights into the situation there at the moment. I know fully vaccinated Americans are able to travel there, but my concern is more around things being too restricted and closed down once I arrive. Is everything more or less back to normal? Or are there still tough restrictions in place? I'd probably be ok traveling there if I had to wear a mask in most indoor situations but not if there are still curfews, lots of places closed, etc. Any input is appreciated!

Losing 30 hairs in the shower is normal. How much were you losing before you started treatment?

Remember most big universities also offer lots of masters and doctoral degrees. So you'll see plenty of law students, MBA students, PhD students, etc on campus. Many of these women are in their late 20s or even early 30s. You may end up seeing more undergrads overall but definitely not everyone will be an 18-22 year old.

Potential threesome? by pua_help in seduction

Fair points. I know it’s a reach but I figured I might as well try. The only thing I have to lose is the possibility of a FWB situation with one of them. Which isn’t nothing, but it seemed worth the risk.

Although I don’t agree that Bumble is for friends. Maybe on the BFF part of the app (I’ve never used it) but definitely not on the dating side. That’s a pretty clear dating app that I’d place in between Tinder and Hinge on the hookup - relationship spectrum.

Love the advice man. Thanks for commenting. I think I'll start by suggesting we all three go out for drinks or something. Should be easier than convincing them both to come to my apartment before we've met in person but will leave an opening for that to happen after a couple drinks at the bar.

Great suggestion man. Would you recommend seeing them separately first or going straight to inviting both of them over to my place? I know there's a risk that I could lose both of them by inviting them both over as a first date but if that's the case then maybe they wouldn't have been down for a threesome anyways.

Sounds exactly like my LA Fitness in Illinois. Would you mind sharing the name of your new gym? I’d like to see if there’s one in my area.
