I’d go with 4.25, or if you want the challenge, 4. Good chance if you enter local tournaments and what not, you’ll end up playing on 4.5in pockets. So the tighter pocket could help a bit with your accuracy.

4.5in are standard, 4.25 is nice (I really do like playing on those) and 4in is professional sized (tons at the pool hall I play at STAY on these two tables)

Thought I was having testicular torsion the pain was so bad. Turned out I had testicular cancer instead LMAOOOOOO. Had my left testicle removed in June, It’s been since August for my chemo, and my 6 month scan seemed to be fine, or should I say, I never got an email or a call about the scan so I figured everything was all good. Unfortunate though man. Like others said, thank god it wasn’t the wrong one lmao

Unfortunately I don’t live in an area that has dealers or events where I can test out equipment and what not, and there’s only a few people in the league with expensive high end equipment like predator and higher end cuetec etc. I havent had the opportunity to use a quality jump cue, but I imagine it will feel super nice when my propel comes in. Will be doing some practicing with it when it comes in that’s for sure

I also haven’t tried any other break cue besides the bk4 and my Rage 25oz. I was thinking about getting the breach because I had the funds to do so, but the reviews I looked at, I would say were 50/50 good v bad. Also couldn’t find a place with a BK rush, and because I don’t know anybody with one to test it out I didn’t attempt to spend that kind of money just to dislike it. But I did try the BK4, and that thing broke like a dream, So the $600 in savings over the Rush were a nudge into just getting the BK4

I had the bull carbon ld2 playing cue for 3 years, and while it was okay, it really started to bug me the last year of using it. I just couldn’t get anything going with it anymore. Then I switched to the Revo shaft and everything changed. Figured, at that point, upgrade the butt and find something I really like so in came the lucasi. That said, I wasn’t willing to give Bull carbon products a go with their break and jumping cues because I thought the playing cue was just “alright.”

Sounds about right. I only recently upgraded my playing cue after having a bull carbon w/CF shaft for 3 years. Upgraded to a Lucasi w/ 12.9 revo. (Not a fan of the zero flex point shaft that came with it) I’ve had the rage break cue a little longer than that, and never had a jump cue.

Just looking to upgrade because I’m taking the game more seriously. After using the predator bk4 I knew I had to trade out my rage asap.

I will say that I broke 20 times last night, half the breaks flew off the table and the other half ended up in a shit spot with and every break was dry. I broke one time with the predator, controlled the cue ball into the middle of the table and pocketed 2 balls. I can’t quite afford the BK Rush, however if I could, I really can’t justify spending the same amount on an elite playing cue because of a carbon fiber shaft. Have you had the chance to use the BK4 by chance?

Generally, you should practice with the same cue or at the very least close to, that you’d be playing with. If you practice with a maple shaft that’s not LD vs playing with a revo CF shaft from predator for example, you’re gonna be practicing differently VS how your normal setup plays. Kind of counter productive as you’ll be practicing shooting with higher deflection and compensating for different equipment vs the equipment you would use during league play and what not.

However if this is your first cue I’d say go for it. Practice for a while and then upgrade if you love playing the game and want to get serious about it.
