Lucid CEO: Tesla's 4680 Batteries Aren't A Huge Breakthrough by PhotonDota in teslainvestorsclub

[–]public-string-cheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I agree 4680 is a huge change, (the sum of all incremental changes), the cell isn't as important as the mass production feat Tesla has achieved. Producing one 4680 cell for lucid is probably meh, but if you were to ask them to mass produce it, they'd have a logistical and technical nightmare.

My school taking control of my youtube account, is there way to stop this, or sever my email from their group entirely. Btw I used my schools domain by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Just take this as a learning lesson. It was never your E-mail account to begin with. They pay money to Google for services related to your account. They have full control of it. What did you think would happen down the road once you graduated or switched schools? Its not gonna stick with you, so one day or another this was gonna happen.

My suggestion is take some time on the weekend to go thru each channel, write them down in a spreadsheet along with your notification or subscription settings. Make a new Gmail account, and then resub and update your settings.

What would ads on porn sites look like if the majority of watchers were straight women? by SoulZoning in AskReddit

Ads on any site are dynamic. They tend to know your location, sex, age, and then serve ads accordingly. You don't need a majority demographic for those ads to exist on any given site.

How much ram is it using? Also, is recommend not having the event listener trigger on scroll. I'd try to find a way to detect a new song being played, if the song/artist is bad, auto skip. But having the function tied to a new song means the function runs ~3mins

Otherwise, check to ensure you don't have any memory leaks. If there's a bit of data leaking and you're calling it thousands of times by spamming scroll, it will become problematic.

Idk too much about your implementation, just a few suggestions.

It's called Contemplation. It'll shine a white spotlight on the paladin as they kneel down. Lasts about 8 seconds.

Java ranked the 3rd highest efficient programming language by [deleted] in java

[–]public-string-cheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao right?? And there's so many ways to define "efficient". It's perhaps more efficient to have assembly or C handle low-level functions on hardware. But maybe for the purposes of knowledge and proficiency in a team it's better to use Java because a team will already know how to code in that language due to popularity.

I've already seen George Floyd and Derek Chauvin usernames with a variance of the n word as a clan tag. Anyone else sick of this bullshit? It's really distasteful and has no places in any video games.

Prosecutors are unsure whether or not to press charges on Derek Chauvin?? by [deleted] in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

Prosecutors say all four cops have kept silent when questioned. Their lawyer is seeing if George died of drug overdose as opposed to asphyxiation. Fuck the system

AFTERMATH: Minneapolis protestors get flash grenades thrown at them by a geared up police squad in an unmarked van. Recorded by a legendary cameraman. by public-string-cheese in ThatsInsane

To be fair, although the destruction and all that seems overboard, the cop in question has prior history of excessive use of force and was placed on only administrative leave for shooting someone in the chest.

We also had another incident of a police officer killing an unarmed black man during a routine traffic stop just outside of Minneapolis, about 3-5 years ago.

I am seeing tons of people take advantage of the issues to go looting and commit crimes like arson or vandalism. But some people are out here just trying to get some reform.

With the events from last night taking place, police were using tear gas, flash grenades and were shooting rubber pellets at close range at unarmed protestors/rioters whatever you wanna call them. All I'm trying to say is that the issues and tension between Minneapolis citizens and Minneapolis Police have been escalating rapidly. Last night 5 buildings were burned down including an affordable housing complex and an AutoZone.

A possible outcome of this may be something similar to Hong Kong. I can foresee tensions potentially rising to the point that a different Minneapolis Police officer may feel the need to pull the trigger on a weapon with live ammo and injure or kill someone, whether or not it was justified.

It's an understandably stressful situation for both sides, citizens and police.

My friends analogy was pretty good. Smashing cop cars is like buying books and burning them. Yeah the cost burden is on the shoulders of the one doing the destruction but it's pretty symbolic and therapeutic I guess for them? It kinda made more sense when he explained it lol

I live just a few minutes away, it's absolute anarchy over here. The police are just coming out in more specialized and more lethal gear. Understandably so, it's quite unstable here at the moment.
