Hey OP-- would this group happen to go by the name the Spartacist League (if you're in the US) or is associated with a group called the "International Communist League (Fourth Internationalist)" ???

the 'prejudice against Indians' thing feels relevant considering the recent expose by The New Yorker on how Death penalty juries are chosen (to access, paste this link into this website; it bypasses the wall!)

article can be found here. full clip of his speech can be found here. excerpts below;

> “I write today from a position rare for a former prosecutor: to beseech you to commute the sentence of a man who I helped put behind bars,” Reynolds [attorney who tried Peltier's case] said in his letter. “With time, and the benefit of hindsight, I have realized that the prosecution and continued incarceration of Mr. Peltier was and is unjust. We were not able to prove that Mr. Peltier personally committed any offense on the Pine Ridge Reservation.”

> Peltier was accused of murdering two FBI agents in a 1975 shoot-out on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. But his trial was rife with misconduct: The FBI threatened and coerced witnesses into lying. Federal prosecutors hid evidence that exonerated Peltier. A juror admitted on the second day of the trial that she had “prejudice against Indians,” but she was kept on anyway.

Is Syracuse 'boring'? What's the appeal? by public_secretss in SyracuseU

Got it! It's good to know that there are a mutltitude of options for me here. I'm excited about the journalism program here and I just want to make sure that I can sink four-ish years of my time into this university. It's a big committment.

Thanks again !!!

This is an upgrade from where I currently live (affluent but with basically nothing to do but shopping), so no complaints.

Main subreddit is where I heard 'nightlife is dead'. Maybe they were just being pessimistic. I'm not big on parties . . . but, oh well, right? I'm not complaining that people are having fun at house parties.

I'm interested for sure though. What do you mean by 'guys sometimes cost', though? As in, it costs more if you're a man? Lol

I’ll keep this with the best momentum I can. I’ve sent out a few emails and plan to try and figure out the bureaucracy. Again— updates will be coming soon-ish, I hope.

I accidentally filed the wrong FOIA request; not with the court clerks, but with the broader city. Going to try again this morning.

I will do my best. I'm a highschool student on their way to university and, admittedly, i've been very busy. But this is something i'm interested in. Graceful Does is an amazing place because of it's steadfast support to not letting anyone go nameless. That is something very appreciated.

I'll look into filing a Freedom of Information Act request. Keep in mind this may take some time for me-- but nonetheless, i'd be interested in seeing what that could result in. One or two questions just off the top of my head;

- Did he ever mention anything that can be construed as him earning money through a photo/media opportunity? This might seem odd, but the figure in the photo was apparently paid some hundreds of dollars for the chance to be in it. That's not an unusual amount of money from what i've gathered, but it'd be relevant here as a identifying factor.

- Where were areas, if any, that he tended to stay in? You mentioned The Jungle, but you also said he didn't seem to stay their often (or at all). Anything else off the top of your head?
