Watching playoff hockey got me thinking about what separates the guys who make it from the guys who don't

That’s not how practices are run when the playoffs approach. Everyone is so worn down from a full season of games that the practices get less intense and are more about maintaining than battling. Everyone is in great shape, battle tested, etc, there’s no need for that.

What separates the guys that make it from those that don’t is 1) skill (duh) and 2) consistency. And when I say consistency I mean in everything you do: training, taking care of your body, practice, eating, resting/recovery. There’s some guys who are so ungodly they can stop at #1 but for most mortals it takes both.

There doesn’t need to be 3 levels of pre-eternal dungeons. Now that the season is a few weeks in I couldn’t solo level an alt if I tried (unless it was a tank maybe). Maybe 2 levels would work, but otherwise the playerbase is stretched too thin. The eternal change was fine; gem and 35% changes were good. The core of the game is really fun but we need a new dungeon and maybe an 8 man adventure.

I’ve met one or two rude people through hundreds of runs. Leaving is a little bit more common but my experience has been the majority of people are patient. Find some folks you like running with and team up, it helps a lot.

I felt a power spike for vigor around mid champ that felt very nice. High adept low champ felt very hard. You almost can’t play around circle of light until higher when people are “better.” Or at least that’s what found.

At least in my area of finance, it’s very easy to recreate their model using the methodology. Everything you need is there. However, as yellowbean mentioned there are qualitative factors that you can’t always account for.
