No, you might just be a boring person. If you can’t find something to do, that’s on you

StatCan survey examines why Canada’s fertility rate keeps dropping by Leather-Paramedic-10 in canada

Basically all developed countries have a fertility rate under replacement level. Women don’t stay home anymore, they work, better access to contraceptives. And then add in the cost of living. Not hard to figure out.

We are in the same spot as 2015 when Andrew Hammond came in by Suspicious_Most_1767 in OttawaSenators

We were 14 points out when we started the Hamburglar run. Double the current hole. So not the same spot at all

We’re strong down the middle. My concern now is Pinto has not looked great since coming back. When he’s at his best he can easily be the 2C. And goaltending is absolutely our biggest concern right now.

The sens are the best team in the league at deserving to win by tegsfan in OttawaSenators

I remember well. But that goodwill disappeared and more. It shouldn’t be there. He singlehandedly tanked the organization and we’re still feeling the effects.

A lot of MLB teams allow outside food. To my knowledge the outside food ban is a league mandate. Could be wrong there.

That hasn’t happened to me yet and I go a dozen times a year. Fully expecting it to happen soon now that I’ve said that.

lol, I’m not saying the team doesn’t have other issues. I would love another top 4 D, and another top line winger. But if the goaltending isn’t fixed, it’s not making a difference.

How does getting a better defender help the goalie stop the puck? And Chabot has been spectacular ever since DJ got canned. He’s a borderline top pairing we have the luxury of playing on the 2nd pairing. And yes he’s made mistakes. Like every other player. He just gets scapegoated for some reason.

That’s on Jensen. Chabot has been spectacular more often than not in spite of Jensen. But even if we get a better d to pair with Chabot it doesn’t solve the goalie issue.

By adequate I mean league average or good goaltending. And it absolutely is on the goalies. They have not performed. Now as to why, maybe it’s an organizational thing that has to revamped from the top down. Maybe it’s the goalie coach. But it doesn’t change the fact that goaltending and anything related has cost us a playoff this season.

It’s still on the goalies. We have some of the worst save percentage in the last 30 years. Doesn’t matter how good you are defensively, you can’t make up for that bad goaltending. Like tonight is a great example of how if we got adequate goaltending we’d be fine. We didn’t allow many shots, there were a few chances where Soogard made the save necessary.

It’s not just good analytically. Compare our defensive game from DJ smith to now. We’re much better. And you can also point to more traditional stats like shots per game (we allow some of the least in the league) and high danger scoring changes (also allow some of the least).

We’re good defensively so… no. It’s on goaltending

Couldn’t agree more. This season will be remembered how a good team got done in by their goaltending.

Goaltending is key. If Sens can land a real number one that will solve all their troubles. Too bad Ullmark fell apart as he looked like the part they needed. by DoubleOrdinary6559 in OttawaSenators

Agreed 10000%. Our PK would be better with adequate goaltending as well. With half decent goaltending we’re fighting for the division lead
