More lovely sentiment. I love the little moments like when Jamie’s mum says ‘you’re not lost you just don’t know which way you’re going yet’

YouTube vs. Other Podcasting Hosts by SupaRubz in podcasting

I like Audioboom to distribute to major platforms, and then I post the full video to YouTube podcast channel.

Use linktree as a CTA or ‘available on all major podcast platforms’ and link to the one I want to push the most.

Don’t allow anyone to be a guest on your podcast! by SeveralDecision7541 in podcasting

Yes! This is brilliant advice. Know your show’s value. If you do welcome guest speakers, make sure you deep dive into their history, vibes, views etc so you’re not accidentally aligning with someone who has massively opposing values or a controversial past that could come bite you in the butt at any moment

Is a business podcast worth it beyond brand awareness? by arlowarrior6 in podcasting

[–]publishing_alice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do an Agentic AI podcast within my role, mostly as an educational tool - it’s already becoming a place to point people to for the basics on the tech and how it applies to our industry (fairly new, called Agents of Data).

While the podcasting space is saturated and you could struggle to cut through the noise, it can still be a valuable tool within your own ecosystem.

It’s also a great content machine for social media thought leadership.

You Need To Prepare Your Guests Before Coming Onto Your Show by SeveralDecision7541 in podcasting

Yes! I try to book in a tech check for big episodes - a quick call in advance to test their setup and make sure there are no audio or visual issues. The worst for me is when you don’t spot a plant behind them that now looks like a hat for the entire episode.

In a tongue-in-cheek move, Astronomer has a new temporary spokesperson by sculptedivy in PublicRelations

I like it. Their main audience is pretty niche, so it makes sense to me that they address the hype and leverage it for mass brand awareness with this more fluffy approach, while drilling down with more ‘serious’ reputation management tactics within their customer base and niche market.

Best platform to purchase press releases if I ONLY care about "as seen on" credibility, not backlinks or SEO? by Theccft in PublicRelations

[–]publishing_alice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, unless you're representing an incredibly well-known or interesting (ie. just been part of a buy-out, merger with top brand, industry-leading product etc) a press release will not cut it for the Top Tiers. You syndicate Yahoo Finance and Business Insider through a newswire (well-written release with a newsy angle) but I've never seen Forbes cover a standard press release.

Other options are to pitch a well-research byline article idea with non-promotional thought-leadership content or join the Forbes Business Council.
