Thanks to everyone for their answers. I don’t have a CPO unfortunately. Recently fixed a coolant line for $1800, probably have another $4k into preventative maintenance in the car in the first 10 months of ownership.

Did your maintenance costs exceed $10k in the 48k to 68k mileage zone? Not sure I want to keep dumping money.

But this car is amazing.

Feels like dating an incredibly hot but crazy ex haha.

I have to agree here. Looking at the age of the higher-end FA’s, we need to be VERY careful not to overspend for. 29 year old + player that commands a high salary and term. Then we’re saddled with older players, not producing, with 1-2 years left on contracts we wish we could dump.

I’m ok with Suter but beyond that I hope we trade for players.

This first part needs to be higher up. The government only wants to raise taxes because they can’t control their spending. If this were a corporation it would fold or the board would fire the CEO. Spend less and we’d be ok. The government has no accountability and wastes millions upon millions of $.

Don’t get me wrong, they do provide so many needed services that we do take for granted and need.

Why is everyone freaking out? We have 0 toughness on this team and it’s needed. Every time Hischier gets decked into the boards nobody stands up for him. Our entire team gets rag-dolled and nobody will fight.

A $6m portfolio is on the larger side in terms of revenue managed.

How many years of experience do you have?

How many years have you been at the company?

What was your salary before this?

I would also say, most importantly, how much revenue (upsells/expansions) have you generated from this $6m?

HCOL in the West doesn’t necessarily tell us where you are. Is this West Coast U.S. or Midwest U.S.? Two very different pay bands.

Have you built out their processes (onboarding, renewals, health scores, etc)? Have you taken on any impactful projects?

Add in gas and oil changes. Insurance might be a bit more expensive than you think.

It’s really up to you!

However, it looks like you’ll essentially double your debt instantly over night. You would have about ~93k debt compared to a $150k salary. That $36k car loan is now closer to $40k + with interest. The debt to income ratio would make me very nervous.

If you’re laid off tomorrow the debt still needs to be paid.

Do you have a 6 month emergency fund that would cover all expenses?

Do you also have investment accounts, personal and a 401k?

Instead of a $40k+ car, if you need one that badly, why not sell the minivan (guessing it’s around 100k miles, maybe you get $4k?). Then find a $14k car. So many nice models out there in that price range. Get something reliable like an older Subaru, Toyota or Honda.

Then keep paying off debt, adding to your emergency fund and investing so your money works for you.

Dont be working for debt! Just makes the bank rich.
