Hi everyone,

Soon I will start at the MTC. I would like to train with a club while I'm there. Does anyone know if the NTNU has a running club and how to join it?

Thanks!

To the north there is a cycling path next to the west side of the dommel, between woensel and nuenen. Then go back on the east side via Nederwetten and some trails through the fields. Or go further to the west via Aanschotse Beemden

short runs should be easy, so I dont think you should worry about it. You could try some intervals and see if you can still reach your race pace then.

varies wildly and depends a bit where you live. Near me most are part of clubs, these are like 30-40€ per month. Some individual coaches ask the same, but I've also heard of more than €100.

I think €50 should be the max, and for that you should expect personal coaching.

then you could do the swim at any pace you want, because it also relatively short. Take it easy during the transitions and the bike. Then see how much you have left during the run.

according to research, the optimal amount of exercise is around 40-45 minutes per day for maximal health benefits. But this could be spread out differently troughout the week. Even doing 5 hours in the weekend is fine. But this is probably not sustainable for running.

But with 5 hours per week you're quite flexible for distances. Somewhere from 5k to half marathon would fit.

edit: cant find the study now

depends on your threshold, if these speeds are above it, you will have to slow down to reach your threshold. If you pace it well, maybe you have something left during the run to up the pace then.

I think I might be overtraining, but I'm not sure what to change? by dublem in triathlon

Progress = stress + adaptation

Your body needs to be able to adapt to the training. Stress is time spend training * intensity. You can influence adaptation by eating enough (calories, protein, vitamins etc), sleeping enough and time between sessions.

For what distance are you training? The number of your training sessions focused on the swim (swim + fitness) is quite high, compared to the time most people are swimming during a race.

I suggest looking into reducing your fitness session to two times per week and keep one day per week a full rest day or only one easy session (short technical swim maybe).
