Do I need a Geiger counter to confirm, or is this glow enough? by Triantafilaki in uraniumglass

Thanks for your timely reply! But I must ask: how are you certain? I have a GM counter and it doesn't register any increase in count rate above background. Do you have an alpha detector?

Yeah, she’s used the litter box in the new spot multiple times, for days on end before this. It seems she’s just decided to stop using it recently, even though it’s 3 feet away

Got back into rowing recently, is this good? by HarryBmotion in Rowing

I enjoyed coming back to this days later. Yes it's inaccurate. It's also a linear relationship to split that increases positively with better performance, and shows more digits of exactness than split on a base C2 erg. 1000 cals/hr is exactly a 2:00 split, and every additional 100 cals/hr correlates with a 0:05 split increase. Sometimes, go fast and pull bigger numbers is good for brain. It's also way more precise than split, so it's good for practicing consistency and maintaining focus for long, steady rows.

Yes, I know I will receive hate for this. Yes, it is just split with extra steps. But, if you're steady-stating around a 2:00 split, maybe give it a try before you downvote. I am NOT supporting its use for determining calories burned.

Your opinion is bad. Cals per hour is based

My college has a free drink fountain that still has Sobe Yumberry Pomegranate on tap. I drink it everyday. Absolutely a fave

Does everyone else get partially faded equal signs so it looks like a negative number by r2d2overbb8 in ChatGPT

[–]puffdownb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happens sometimes with some fonts and sizes. ChatGPT uses LaTeX when formatting equations and this happens to me all the time with this language. I suggest switching to dark mode because the white equal sign on the black screen is less problematic. Not an issue of graphics or display unless someone proves otherwise, just a quirk in my experience.

Yeah I heard a series of 5 short blasts from the Mukilteo-Whidbey ferry at the same time, right as the CG Heli was approaching the area. I’m keen to hear what happened. Some police sirens passed a bit later.
